The report from the scene is that the reaction was mixed, although it doesn’t sound too mixed here.

She was treated better than the Redskins were, so, hey — moral victory.

Update: Not so mixed.

Update: Mixed. I like this, from the comments: “It’s Philly. They weren’t booing Sarah, they were booing Trig.”

Blowback

Only made a very, VERY quick scan of the comments, but I believe it was former major league baseball player Richie call me Dick Allen who said Philadelphia fans booed Santa Claus. (Chuckling)

Yes, yes. She showed good judgement because she like me and most other good conservatives refuse to back down from liberal thuggery. If it’s out there our kids need to see it and you guys for what you are. Now go back to your John Edwards shrine.

Booing a political candidate isn’t liberal or thuggery. I’m sad to learn that you don’t believe in political dissent.

Maybe not exclusively liberal, but certainly thuggery. I’m one of those people who cheer for my team when it takes the field but I never ever “boo” the opposing team when it takes the field. They get either respectful clapping or (if I think they are unsportsmanlike) respectful silence.

Years of attending my kids’ athletic events taught me that, and I apply the lessons even to professional sport venues.

Did liberals decide that political dissent requires rude thuggery. Perhaps you missed the link to Michelle Malkins site. You guys are thugs. Cartoonist drawing pictures of Governor Palin getting her teeth knocked out. “Future Retarded Republicans” on baby onesies. Photoshopped pictures of Senator McCain with animals crapping on him. Just give it up man. You guys are the ones you complain about. You’re evil and all cut from the same cloth.

This isn’t a professional sport venue issue. Palin isn’t showing up there as a Ranger or Flyer fan.

Palin is the VP candidate on the Republican side. Palin is the one that says “Obama is paling around with terrorists”. When she shows up in the arena, she is there to score political points. Everyone has the right to react to that. If you were an Obama supporter and felt offended by some of her latest remark, would you feel the moral obligation to voice your disapproval? I would.

How? Could be booing, could be posters, could be by turning your back to her, could be by staying silent, …

Any more generalizations you want to make? Because when you’re done, you can start pulling all the ‘Barack Hussein Obama’, ‘Obama is an Arab’, ‘Obama is a terrorist’, ‘Obama is a Muslim’ etc that some elements of the right is bringing out so that I can peg those remarks on every single Republican.

Please find on my site any of that crap you listed. Well actually don’t waste your time, you won’t be able to.

Eh, what game was the “Politico” watching? That was very mixed or at least the boos didn’t totally drown out the cheers (like the Washington Nationals game were W was met with an resounding boos)… seriously stop linking that site, its just another “non- partisan” liberal site, I mean just look at the comments! Those people should be eliminated from the gene pool, how stupid can you be (or in another sense how much propaganda can you believe without your head exploding).

Cr4sh Dummy on October 13, 2008 at 1:28 AM

Shows Palin is not a wimp. That, and not arugula, is the starting point to be a good President.

What is a hostile crowd to a politician?

An opportunity

She is raising her kids the right way. Face the storm head on instead of hiding. You find out the sun still shines and you live to fight another day.

She won that encounter and her kids will not forget.

I know this is only the latest in a long line of liberals trying to paint Republicans, such as Reagan and Bush as stupid, but it is irritating.

She has operated a company, taken on her own party and the oil companies, been a beauty queen and a mayor, she’s a sportswoman and she is the highest rated Governor in the United States!!

How many of her critics have a resume like that???

Thanks!
