Now we know what Obama payed ACORN for

Even before Friday’s conference call, Republicans had made much of an $832,598 payment made in February by the Obama campaign to Citizens Services Inc., a consulting firm affiliated with Acorn.

“This organization is not just related to but deeply ingrained in the Acorn organization, a front group for Acorn,” Mr. Davis said.

The Obama campaign initially reported that the payment was for “staging, sound, lighting” and other advance work when it reported its expenditures with the Federal Election Commission. It filed amended reports in August and September to reflect that those payments were for get-out-the-vote efforts.

In 1992, Mr. Obama was personally involved in voter registration efforts when he served as director of Project Vote in Chicago, helping to register 150,000 voters on the South Side. His success was widely written about at the time and credited with helping to elect Senator Carol Moseley Braun, the first African-American woman in the Senate.

The PA plot thickens

Newman appeared at a news conference with Pennsylvania GOP Chairman Rob Gleason and Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico.

Gleason, citing “the potential of massive voter fraud” nationwide, said ACORN and other groups had submitted 252,595 voter registrations in Philadelphia. There were 57,435 registrations rejected — most of them submitted by ACORN, Gleason said. They had faulty Social Security numbers, incorrect dates of birth, “clearly fraudulent” signatures, addresses that did not exist and duplicate registrations, Gleason said. A man was registered to vote 15 times since the primary, according to Gleason, and some people listed vacant lots as their addresses.

Other areas, from Delaware County in the Philadelphia suburbs to Allegheny County, have had similar problems, Newman said. Issues surrounding ACORN have surfaced in Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin, Gleason added.

I see we have a new Minister of “Tsk tsk” to be appointed by Obama when any critisism of his Regeme is brought to them.

Seriously he is gonna be Obama’s Baghdad Bob and we will start seeing 80 to 90% election rates in US elections for democratic candidates.

And I will state again I dont blame McCain for this mess. Its the whole GOP that has fallen asleep. We lost Congress in 2006 because the dems made the effort to take elections.

The GOP is still seriously lagging behind and its only getting worse.

BTW, did you notice that he was white. Almost every person I have seen associated with Acorn were black, except that blonde, big nosed chick begging people to register to vote.

Thats they way ACORN works. The upper management is white and the lower ranks are minorities. In fact the managers are all appointed to the feild all come “recomended” democratic party connections. The Unions and liberal groups send up and comers to groups like ACORN to get feild experience. There is no rising up the ranks in ACORN its a caste system there.
