ACORN spokesman: We’re non-partisan

By popular request, from last night’s Greta, another round with the least convincing public mouthpiece on the media circuit. They’re studiously non-partisan, although not so studiously indifferent to which candidate’s elected: Their PAC endorsed The One during the Democratic primary and they got upwards of $80,000 from the more than $800,000 that Team Obama paid to the consulting firm with which ACORN’s affiliated for GOTV efforts.
Two bonus vids below that. The first is Rep. Thad McCotter elaborating on Boehner’s plan to strip ACORN of federal funds — “To say that ACORN is left-leaning is like saying Terry Bradshaw may be bald” — and the second is a bit of anecdotal evidence, via Marc Ambinder, that this subject might be penetrating the public consciousness. Here’s the latest from the RNC, pushin’ it good.

So far I’ve seen the same song and dance with this fool twice, with “newsbabes”.
Do Chris Wallace, Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity get a go? He’s very good at ignoring the questions and signaling with his hands “don’t interrupt me” to the blondes in skirts.

Ace just had it up on his site(not loading now for some reason) that ACORN, Project Vote(Which must have merged with ACORN sometime between when Obama worked there and 2001), and far left New Party all shared the same address…

Non-partisan, eh? If I asked ACORN, could they get me registered to vote in the 12th district so I could vote for Bill Russell? That’s in addition to my regular registration here in the 5th, of course.

I watched this tool on Fox & Friends this morning (Saturday). He isn’t even a good liar. Yesterday they had a female professor from Rutgers on the show. She was almost identical to him in her outward denial.

ACORN is non-partisan: For most of its organizers and strongest backers, the Democratic Party is just a co-opted corporate rightwing monstrosity that unfortunately has to be used for now. Remember, for most of these people the news media are also overwhelmingly right wing – implicitly supportive of capitalism and all of the appurtenances of bourgeois democracy, whether or not the useful idiot liberals dominate over the violent savage petit bourgeois conservatives while the real enemy keeps a lower political and cultural profile.

At least give these folks credit for being in a tough spot. ACORN is about to go down in flames because they got too greedy with the voter fraud thing. I don’t envy any spokesman in this position be it this ACORN wingnut, Larry Craig’s press secretary, Dee Dee Meyers during the Clinton scandals, or any other person facing the media with a bad client and indefensible facts.
This isn’t meant to excuse ACORN but isn’t it a good thing that this jerk is such a bad liar? I’ve seen the groups efforts here in New Orleans and if anything they are probably more corrupt than the investigations currently in progress. They need spokespeople who make such weak defenses of the indefensible.

ACORN is destroying the integrity of our free election system. They must be investigated to the fullest extent of the law, and the guilty parties must be put in prison.
We can’t lose the integrity of our free election system!

I’m sorry but the commenters here just don’t understand libspeak for ‘nonpartisan’. It’s not a lie. Remember when Hillary was asked to speak at the anti-Amamadjihadi rally near the UN and found out that Gov Palin was invited to speak also, and Hillary backed out? Her reason was that the rally was no longer ‘non-partisan’. You see, ACORN is using the same definition. Whenever a group consists solely of socialists and democrats, it is by definition NON-PARTISAN. For the dems aren’t a party, they are universal truth, sort of like gravity and electro-magnetism, just facts of life that everyone who hasn’t been ‘perverted’ would naturally gravitate towards. It is only when those pesky gnats, republicans/conservatives, enter any group of right thinking liberals/socialists/democrats, that it is suddenly the Republicans/Conservatives who are partisan and like the serpent in the Garden of Eden, now expel everyone from democrat utopia.
So you see, if ACORN would actually register as voters and employ republicans/conservatives as vote getters, they would be turning their ‘non-partisan’ organization into a partisan group, and exiling themselves from their lib utopia, into the sinful world of republican/conservative thought.
Hope that was helpful.

Why aren’t the Rep’s in Congress frothing at the mouth for an investigation into the systematic disenfranchisement of voters whose votes are cancelled out by the fraudsters at ACORN? The Dems think it should be easier to vote than to rent a DVD and every felon/illegal/double voter disenfranchises one of the Rep’s constituents. How about a little righteous indignation?

That’s fine as far it goes. But an FEC violation or whatever it would end up being is more dull than drawer of butter knives. The Dems commanded all kinds of airtime and column inches with these kinds of allegations in the past. I know the Reps don’t have the media echo chamber of the Dems, but how hard is it for someone to get on my TV screen and say, “Y’know what? This is just flat out wrong. Why is this group cancelling out the votes of my constituents? Why is this allowed to go on and on? Who are they connected to that they can disenfranchise citizens of this country with impunity? At a time when our finest citizens are dying so that people in Iraq and Afghanistan can vote, how dare we let these same soldiers have their rights cancelled out?”

To Gov. Palin: “I address you, not Sen. McCain, because he refuses to fight for me and my children’s Republic. PLEASE save our country, and slam Obama on ACORN. For your convenience, I took time to transcribe Obama’s promise of just 10 months ago. Please use it 3 times a day”

ACORN is full of BULLCORN.
I was just watching one of the collegiate interviews at a website and they interviewed several people who saidthat they tried to sign up people for godbama multiple times… even up to 72 times.
Another lady for the “Non-partisan” Get-out-the-vote, said she was a driver, would pick up people, then would drive them to the polls all the while talkin’ up Olbamer. When she realized that she was on tape, she quickly shut the hell up and said, “Oh, I just pick them up”….
I’m mad… I’m really mad… w eneed to show a driver’s licence in all states. Iraq has a more stringent voting process and teh Dems don’t want people who are ion teh US to prove who they really are? It’s against their civil rights? Who the h*ll thinks like that if they don’t have cheatin’ on their minds?

Ambinder? With a dumb video that will go over most people’s heads?
Ambinder, as I recall, was suggesting the other day that, you know, this Acorn stuff is partisan Republican whining. And hey, if Republicans don’t like it, they can go out and form their own grass roots organization to compete with Acorn.
So, in essence, (unless he’s hopelessly stupid) Ambinder suggested that Republicans fight fraud with fraud. Super, duper great — because when that happens, we’re done. The democratic republic becomes a banana republic.

Wow. With a straight face.
But it doesn’t matter to Jill & Joe democrat enamored with THE ONE, and here’s why:
A recent post about Bill Buckley’s son voting for Obama got me thinking about it. I flippantly said that the son had never read Dad’s book “God & Man at Yale.”
In it Bill Buckley put forth the premise that amoral lib profs at Yale were deliberately undermining traditional conservative culture & values with anti-theism and subversive ‘progressive’ propaganda – as if it were course curriculum.
That was 50 years ago. We all know the perverse in-bred liberal infestation rampant in academia (which your tax payer dollars help fund) and the systemic failure of these institutions, as a whole, to produce classically trained Western Scholars.
From the lectern filters down this ‘hate America’ moral equivalence crap that manifests itself in the Daily Kuss; Huffypoo; Democracy now; People For the American Way; Open Society Institute; ACORN; the NEA (yes, that nea); and any dozens of other socially & politically liberal organizations who hold the supreme decider to be pure mob rule – 100% democratic force of humanity.
We currently have a Republic – if we can hold onto it – but the masses seem h3ll bent on tearing it down & complacent enough to let it happen.
I blame gub’mint schools. Literally. ‘God & Man at Yale is now the NEA in your kid’s local gub’mint school. Your tax dollars at work.
ACORN just doesn’t matter to the average voter. And the polls show it.
