ACORN spokesman: We’re non-partisan

By popular request, from last night’s Greta, another round with the least convincing public mouthpiece on the media circuit. They’re studiously non-partisan, although not so studiously indifferent to which candidate’s elected: Their PAC endorsed The One during the Democratic primary and they got upwards of $80,000 from the more than $800,000 that Team Obama paid to the consulting firm with which ACORN’s affiliated for GOTV efforts.
Two bonus vids below that. The first is Rep. Thad McCotter elaborating on Boehner’s plan to strip ACORN of federal funds — “To say that ACORN is left-leaning is like saying Terry Bradshaw may be bald” — and the second is a bit of anecdotal evidence, via Marc Ambinder, that this subject might be penetrating the public consciousness. Here’s the latest from the RNC, pushin’ it good.

Hell Yeah! My Representative here in Michigan, Thaddeus McCotter, is the only reason I am excited to go to the polls this year… to re-elect this man to Congress so he can keep on doing this stuff. Keep giving it to them T-Mac!

Riddle me this: Has anyone prevented these ACORN-hustled registrants from registering or voting before this organization ran this thinly-veiled partisan scam? Or were the newly (and many-times) registered folks just too dam* lazy or uninterested in exercising their right?
My guess is that they were “excited” by the bribe they were offered by the clown that registered them.

You have the situation spelled out well.
I am a retired public-school teacher, and I cannot tell you how many of those Lefty organizations flooded by school and home mail box with their propaganda during my career. I am certain that NEA was the conduit for all of them.

Couldn’t ACORN find someone human to do the chat circuit?
TheCulturalist on October 11, 2008 at 10:16 PM
I’m sorry but that guy looks retarded.
Coronagold on October 11, 2008 at 10:21 PM
That ACORN tool was on FNC this am, acting like a standard leftard. Every time his opponent started to speak, he interrupted again and again. When he was speaking, and was interrupted, he actually had the temerity to ask to be allowed to finish.

I have the video on my blog PLUS a voluteer admitting she tells people she drives to the polls and registers to vote for Obama.
It isn’t until the end she realizes what she’s confessing and she said, “Oh, I got ta go!” Pretty funny.

OK, I can’t watch that douche anymore. “I want to talk about the real story here…”
Yeah, buddy, it’s easy to break voter registration records when you’re registering the same people 50 times.

A cartoonish leftist douche. Hopefully he ends up in jail.

Scott Levenson has the most ingratiating, pasted-on smile of any interview on Fox News since this clown.
And as for
Good question, because here’s the non-human he constantly reminded me of while watching him, and he deserved an a$$-whoopin’, too. Except that Levenson looks like the kid who probably got picked on at recess almost daily, not one who would end up with a prize such as this.

MSNBC is also “non-partisan”…..

He should have stayed with hosting Family Fued. Sorry Richard Dawson!

I’d add one more thing to your list: the locked boxes are under guard/protection/observation of an armed, uniformed law enforcement officer who has had a background investigation. Remember, some people are not above stealing.
Of course, I know that wouldnt work very well in Chicago.
abcurtis on October 12, 2008 at 8:26 AM
What an a$$. ACORN is trying to steal the election for Obama.
That’s it in a nutshell. ;)

studiously non-partisan?
From ACORN website – 25 Year History (2000)
NEW THREATS – In November, 1994, the resurgence of the Republican Party in Congress dramatically changed the political picture for ACORN. It posed new threats to long-standing ACORN campaigns and meant a loss of support for ACORN initiatives. It was not, however, anything ACORN had not seen before. From its beginning, ACORN had fought against politicians who resisted their ideas and their work to build power for low- and moderate-income people. The history of ACORN shows it is stronger than ever and better prepared for the continued struggle.
