Well those are interesting charges… Anyway, I’m still trying to figure out what exactly these paleoconservatives believe, especially with respect to foreign policy. That’s why I plan to read Buchanan’s latest book THE UNNECESSARY WAR, which apparently argues that Britain and the US should not have tried to help to stop Hitler. That sounds a bit extreme, but I’m keeping an open mind.

I wish those people understood that Obama’s campaign promises will most likely not reduce our war involvement. He will just shift our military actions from protecting our national security to clumsy and meddlesome global do-gooding. And I suspect that the world’s troublemakers are in gleeful anticipation of the day when the US puts a bowl of jello in the Whitehouse.

This is why I’m probably more supportive of people like Ron Paul than most people here at Hotair are.

Most people shun him and his supporters. I’ve noticed his bots have deleted any criticism from his wiki page. That’s another reason why people don’t like him. His followers are obsessive and deliberately screw up ever poll and anything else they can weasel there way into. Again, he aligns himself with anti-Semites and is a truther.

Absolutely agree. The counter argument is that this might push away the independents. However I think that even most pro-choicers would be repulsed by his position on this.

Exit question: What’s Palin’s answer to Ingraham’s question about the first thing she’d do as VP for the pro-life movement? She seems to say that she’d simply try to provide a good example for people to follow, but she’s already done that per Trig and in any case I suspect social cons are hoping for more.

As long as she supports overturning Roe v. Wade and leaving the question of abortion to the state legislatures (or even to Congress), I’ll be fine with her stance. I just want my public leaders to be true to the Constitution (in its strict constructionist interpretation). That’s my paramount wish. This is why I’m probably more supportive of people like Ron Paul than most people here at Hotair are.

His defenders like to argue that he himself isn’t racism. That may be true. But he used racism for political gain, and that makes him no friend of mine.

MKH agrees with me and others that the obama campaign must have some internals that is causing them to believe that the Ayers attacks are hurting them.
