Worst Political Analogy of the Day

One might think that with his fellow “community organizers” coming under another investigation for voter fraud, Barack Obama might avoid the mention of ACORN. Yet here he is in Indiana, butchering an aphorism in an attempt to pay homage to one of the most prominent political families in the state:
I want to say thank you to Senator Evan Bayh, one of the best United States Senators that we have. And since you know that, uh, an acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree, you know that part of the reason he’s such a great Senator is because he came, uh, from a great political family, and Senator Birch Bayh is here, the legendary Senator who is back in Indiana…
Well, usually one says, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” but who knows? Maybe ACORN is on his mind today. Maybe it should be on everyone’s minds today.

Get used to this folks… he’s going to be our next president no matter how hard we try to stop it from happening. In this particular war, it’s about votes, and we can’t stop massive amounts of enamored, uneducated people away from the voting booth. Bush Derangement Syndrome will be the death of America, what we see in San Francisco today will be America next year.
Spread the word about the OBAMA TEN.

Obama- the nut doesn’t fall far from the kook bush.
Pfleger, Ayers, Rezko, Wright.
Barry’s a pimp for their crazy blight.

He’s just green behind the ears. Those big-assed dumbo ears.

Barack Obama is what Ayn Rand used to call a ’sincere subjectivist.’ I don’t know how well he could do on a standardized test – none of us do. But that doesn’t really matter. The important thing is that he expresses absolutely no capacity for dealing with a reality that doesn’t care how he feels.
Did you see the O’Reily interview? Obama said he would stop Iran from getting and using nuclear weapons through “diplomacy.” O’Reily asked, several times, “Well, OK, but what if the genocidal terrorists who run that country decide to ignore your ‘diplomacy’?”
Obama just kept saying over and over again: “That’s unacceptable… That’s unacceptable… That’s unacceptable…”
For all practical purposes, this man has the mind of a child. This country has survived a lot worse than John McCain, but the liberals (against all odds) are actually right about one thing: we have never had a President like Barack Obama before. In choosing him as a leader, American liberalism has reached its logical conclusion – and nothing good can possibly come of that.

Obama: Uh, and ya know, I, uh, didn’t just fall off, uh, a carrot truck, yeah, uh, that’s it.

New slogan for Obama’s presidential shield:
Mighty oaks from little A.C.O.R.N.’s grow.

So, Justice Clarence Thomas lacked “exp…”, he can’t take our guns “even if [he] want[s] to,” and he has a “Muslim faith” (corrected by the interviewer). And now, “an acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree”.
I believe we may owe an apology to Joe Biden. Though I will give Hussein one thing: His gaffes at least give some insight into the dude’s heart and mind. Biden’s are just dumb.

I saw a guy with a VOTE OBAMA Nov. 5th! bumper sticker…Can you get in trouble for that? Beside being tacky.

How will Frank Caliendo do an Obama imitation without being called a racist? This and other questions anwered on “As the Hot Air Turns.”

Bad pessimism. Good video! Thanks!

I love it. Can you imagine all the pot-smoking Obamabots showing up on the 5th. Priceless.
BTW: Have you noticed that there are mostly older supporters behind Obama lately? I think a lot of the kiddies have gone home and back to school. They are disallusioned, poor babies. When Obama picked Biden instead of Oprah, the Utopia bubble burst. “Likely voter” polls anyone?

my brother went to see my neice at college here in Cincy and said that dems were out registering and getting Students Absentee Ballots

Maybe his mom used to bake him acorn pies when he was a kid.

Every time I hear him speak….it just grates. Cotton (for the ears) futures will jump if the Obamanation wins the election.

Actually, acorn is a common variation on the more common apple.
Sackett on October 8, 2008 at 9:27 PM
I’m sure this is different in different regions, but where I grew up, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” wasn’t ever used as a positive comparison, that I recall.
More like lamenting how bad seeds yield bad fruit.

I think it was a signal to ACORN sleeper cells in Indiana.

Barry gets a little bit of confidence from a debate and the first thing he does is try to do an unscripted speech…..sounding amazingly like his pal, Biden.

You can’t hold the actions of ACORN against Obama. That’s guilt by association. Racists.

Then Obama shouldn’t be able to hold Bushes actions against McCain.

Came in late to this thread, but you guys and gals are on a seriously funny roll. All I can contribute is my dear deceased dad’s favorite phrase…Obama is a dolt and will be found, hopefully sooner than later, to be as “useless as tits on a bull.” It’s late here, but keep on rolling! This is why I love this site.
