There are a lot of photos to choose from on the MDS website, but my favorite is this darling photo of a child who has been successfully indoctrinated into a party which reveres Emma Goldman as a heroine.

Capitalism:

Goldman believed that the economic system of capitalism was inimical to human liberty. "The only demand that property recognizes," she wrote in Anarchism and Other Essays, "is its own gluttonous appetite for greater wealth, because wealth means power; the power to subdue, to crush, to exploit, the power to enslave, to outrage, to degrade."[

Tactics:

Among the tactics that Goldman endorsed was targeted violence. Early in her career Goldman believed that the use of violence, while distasteful, could be effective in achieving a greater good. She advocated propaganda of the deed – attentat, or violence carried out to encourage the masses to revolt. She supported her partner Alexander Berkman's attempt to kill industrialist Henry Clay Frick, and even begged him to allow her to participate

What’s actually fringe about the group? Their wiki is incredibly vague as to what they wanted, and what’s there doesn’t seem to be outside the Dem platform.

Gosh, I can't imagine. This is from the MDS website:

Formed in Chicago in August 2006, MDS affirms the Founding Principles:

-the expansion of egalitarian and participatory democracy in politics, economics, and culture.

-the restoration and preservation of the earth’s robust ecological health.

-the extension of human rights to include universal healthcare, decent housing, lifelong education, fortifying nutrition, reproductive freedom, and meaningful work.

-the eradication of systems of dominant power and privilege based on identity, including but not limited to race gender, nationality, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability or religion.

-the growth and development of the commons, the resources that belong to society as a whole.

-the public control of corporate power to meet human needs and the expansion of workers’ authority and rights, including the equitable distribution of wealth.

-the rejection of militarism and war and the enhancement of power and authority of international institutions capable of resolving conflict between nations.

-In working for the achievement of these special changes, MDS believes in working in coalition with like-minded others to create an interracial, interethnic, intergenerational and international mass movement.

is this surprising? Even in his book "Dreams from my father", Barack talks about attending the Socialist Conferences in his college. The media ignores it. The American people ignore it, McCain ignores it. The next president of the United States will be Obama, the most radical left-wing socialist this country has ever known. I hope this country survives. Read my blog on what I thought of the debate.

The best part of this, assuming that it trickles up the media food chain and gets put to one of Obama’s spokesmen, will be trying to reconcile the inevitable profession of ignorance about the New Party’s agenda with David Brooks’s assertions about how “socially perceptive” Obama is. Truly, except for Ayers’s terrorist background, Wright’s sermons, Pfleger’s race-baiting, and the NP, his awareness of what’s going on around him is laser sharp.

Politics is the art of persuasion. A politician supported by the media has free reign to say what people want to hear and Obama is very good at saying what people want to hear.

The best predictor of what Obama will do however is what he has done in the past. If enough people look at his conduct, he won't be the next POTUS

It’s just too bad that Larry Johnson has all the credibility of a used-car salesman who’s had 14 different names in ten states in the last five years.

Um - I don't know what you are doing (if anything), but I send my emails to non-blog savvy Democrats, blue collar type. They don't know Larry Johnson from Larry Fine, but the fact that he was CIA, and pro-Hillary, carries some weight with them. Try it if you know any blue dog types who voted Clinton.
Larry was also the first one to dig up the black and white "flag jumper" photo that I know of.

What's actually fringe about the group? Their wiki is incredibly vague as to what they wanted, and what's there doesn't seem to be outside the Dem platform.

New details on Ayers & Dorhn and their wide circle of Barry supporting friends:

Founded in August 2006, MDS seems to be just the type of revolutionary unity the WUO was striving for way back then...

From Weather Underground to Movement for a Democratic Society, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn

I have revealed that three former WUO members, Bernardine Dohrn, Mark Rudd and Jeff Jones have served on the MDS board, as have two close friends of Dohrn's husband Bill Ayers, former SDS Maoists Carl Davidson and Mike Klonsky-both very familiar names to Obama watchers.

Bill Ayers himself is a prominent MDS activist, while another board member Thomas Good describes himself as an "unrepentant Weather supporter.

Progressives for Obama is intimately tied to MDS. Four of the six original PFO founders are MDS board members-Carl Davidson (CCDS member), Tom Hayden (former SDS leader) and Bill Fletcher and Barbara Ehrenreich (both DSA leaders)...

Hmmmm.... it just struck me. I wonder if Ayers or his wife were members at the same time as Senator Obama???

If and when Corsi has any new information about any recent contact between Obama and Odinga we can evaluate it at that time. So far this looks more like a p.r. effort on Corsi's part. Why couldn't he just do the research and report on in when he got back to the U.S.?

Last night, I went to "STLTODAY," the website for the very liberal "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" and posted some of the links here, concerning the DSA and the New Party, with a brief description of what is being said here.

I went back a few minutes ago. The posts were removed.

Any wonder the public won't find out about this stuff?
