With all due respect, I urge you to read the opening comments in his piece.

These people become a financial liability to our schools and welfare system and there is no bailout from the Federal Government. We taxpayers shoulder many of these liabilities at a year by year county and city level.

But it’s a non-issue for our politicians who make very good salaries, live in the gated communities, and who’s children attend school’s not faced with these problems. They no longer discuss this problem but it hasn’t gone away. It gets worse every month. Tick tock.

I wonder who is spurring him on to say that…

Many people, including you, need no spurring on to say stupid stuff.

It’ll be because they cared more about the economic nuclear bomb that’s set to melt down their 401(k)s or their, er, food supply and didn’t trust him enough to defuse it. Which is amazing, really: The more dire things get, the more reassuring McCain’s years of experience should be vis-a-vis Obama.

Not that amazing to me. Obama uses a calm, confident voice to answer any economic crisis questions by explaining that “Bush and McCain’s trickle down economic policies have failed us” and that we need accountability and blah blah to get the economy back on track. McCain flails around – first by suspending his campaign, then by responding to bailout questions in the first debate by prattling about some guy he had thrown in prison for earmark abuse, and now by announcing a $300 billion mortgage buy-back program without any explanation whatsoever. He appears desperate and impulsive, whereas Obama is cool, calm, and collected.

I don’t know what the hell is wrong with McCain and his advisers. Seriously, the GOP has dropped the ball on this economic crisis big-time. The House GOP was the only group to demonstrate an ounce of leadership here.

And remind people that without Ayers there would be no Obama. Ayers gave Obama the huge platforms to gain visibility and gain influence in Chicago. (I believe in the beginning that Obama was hoping to run for Mayor of Chicago – he beleived he needed the left-wing, socialist liberal credentials for it and Ayers (and Rev. Wright) provided it for him.)

I hope that, if Obama wins, you get exactly what you voted for…a miserable, self important, over-inflated ego who turns out to be the complete blow hard failure we’re pretty sure he already is…and I hope he lives a long and healthy life where he never gets elected again, but you wonder for decades later why he turned out to be such a rotten president in the middle of an economic and security crisis.

Oh..wait, you’ll have the answer…he was undermined by the latent racism in the Democrat controlled congress.

Market participants must be able to know that when they engage in a transaction it will be transparent, handled fairly, and their rights will be protected.

The fact that the government can now abrogate a contract between a lender and borrower is huge. A foreigner I know says he has his business here because in America, a contract is a contract.

No more. Money is smart, and the market going crazy proves it.

The problem with Ayers is that it’s true. When McCain wins people will be saying that Obama got Ayer-ed.

Or that he is an Ayre Head.

We conservatives are sending a powerful, inadvertent message with this negative campaign against Barack Obama’s associations and former associations: that we lack a positive agenda of our own and that we don’t care about the economic issues that are worrying American voters.

Funny, that line of thinking wasn’t applied to Obama’s campaign when they tried to destroy Governor Palin. And that continues to this day.

I know of an office that is just now starting to buzz with the news of Ayers. They don’t even have all the details yet…just “did you hear about this…?”

McCain needs to be unrelenting about The Obama/Ayers/Chavez connection. Obama has already been caught in a lie, now just keep pulling the string till it unravels. Let ‘em squeal about it–that’s just an attempt to stop the inquiry in its tracks. GO FOR IT MCCAIN, you owe it to your country even if you don’t win.
