I've always found it laughable that anyone thinks the Democrats have any expertise on economics/pocketbook-issues. All they ever do with "economics" is promise to bribe you with this-or-that. That's not ecomnomics. That's corruption.

what a crock...

Your rulers are rebels And companions of thieves; Everyone loves a bribe And chases after rewards. They do not defend the orphan, Nor does the widow's plea come before them.
Isaiah 1:23

What exactly is David Frum’s bona fides? Oh yea, he helped scribe a speech for President Bush. The man is a wuss.

I know nobody seems to want to talk about this any more, especially the two presidential candidates, but we are still adding a city the population size of Tucson, Arizona to our total population EVERY MONTH with ILLEGAL immigrants. This fact does play a part in our worsening financial crises impacting primarily lower income citizens.

These people become a financial liability to our schools and welfare system and there is no bailout from the Federal Government. We taxpayers shoulder many of these liabilities at a year by year county and city level.

But it's a non-issue for our politicians who make very good salaries, live in the gated communities, and who's children attend school's not faced with these problems. They no longer discuss this problem but it hasn't gone away. It gets worse every month. Tick tock.

The govt bank takeovers from the private sector being proposed is strictly due to the greed of the folks currently running them into the ground. I sure hope folks dont think this is Socialism. Its more a preservation of Captitalism provided the control is given back some day and hopefully with some of these greedy people behind bars as an example to not let this happen again.

Other than the "D" after Obama's name, what exactly makes people think he's qualified to "fix" the economy? The guy's a moron. If elected, the only people he's going to "help" are the entitlement crowd, anyway. That vast middle class he won't shut up about, is suddenly going to be above his cut off line. It's really kind of pitiful that so many Americans seem ready to "suspend disbelief" when it comes to his pie in the sky promises.

It’ll be because they cared more about the economic nuclear bomb that’s set to melt down their 401(k)s or their, er, food supply and didn’t trust him enough to defuse it. Which is amazing, really: The more dire things get, the more reassuring McCain’s years of experience should be vis-a-vis Obama.

Not that amazing to me. Obama uses a calm, confident voice to answer any economic crisis questions by explaining that "Bush and McCain's trickle down economic policies have failed us" and that we need accountability and blah blah to get the economy back on track. McCain flails around - first by suspending his campaign, then by responding to bailout questions in the first debate by prattling about some guy he had thrown in prison for earmark abuse, and now by announcing a $300 billion mortgage buy-back program without any explanation whatsoever. He appears desperate and impulsive, whereas Obama is cool, calm, and collected.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with McCain and his advisers. Seriously, the GOP has dropped the ball on this economic crisis big-time. The House GOP was the only group to demonstrate an ounce of leadership here.

Regarding Obama-Ayers I think McCain would be wiser to show that Obama agreed and supported all the left-wing, marxist, socialist programs that former terrorist Ayers pushed.
Detail the programs in the Woods Fund and Annengerg challenge that Obama funded.
Paint Obama the far left-wing, socialist liberal that he is.

And remind people that without Ayers there would be no Obama. Ayers gave Obama the huge platforms to gain visibility and gain influence in Chicago. (I believe in the beginning that Obama was hoping to run for Mayor of Chicago - he beleived he needed the left-wing, socialist liberal credentials for it and Ayers (and Rev. Wright) provided it for him.)

Will Obama name Bill Ayers as Secretary of Education???

they incited violence? By saying he had dangerous connections to known radicals?

What? You think Jack Ruby is going to jump up out of the grave and take that as his Henry V directive?

You're a scumbag.

Here's what I hope. I hope that, if Obama wins, you get exactly what you voted for...a miserable, self important, over-inflated ego who turns out to be the complete blow hard failure we're pretty sure he already is...and I hope he lives a long and healthy life where he never gets elected again, but you wonder for decades later why he turned out to be such a rotten president in the middle of an economic and security crisis.

Oh..wait, you'll have the answer...he was undermined by the latent racism in the Democrat controlled congress.

Oh..and I said he's "rotten"...must be a racist code word.

Market participants must be able to know that when they engage in a transaction it will be transparent, handled fairly, and their rights will be protected.

The fact that the government can now abrogate a contract between a lender and borrower is huge. A foreigner I know says he has his business here because in America, a contract is a contract.

No more. Money is smart, and the market going crazy proves it.

McCain needs to hit Obama with both hands.

Left hand: Smack Barry's rotten friends and mock his bad judgment- AYERS, PFLEGER, REZKO, WRIGHT.

Right hand: To restore thee economy- say: "We will immediately begin a program to build and bring online 20 nuclear power plants, which will bring tens of thousands of new jobs, spending, production, technological innovation, and free our nation from a huge chunk of foreign sources and costs of vital energy".

Smash the Empty Suit's lies and pretenses, and guarantee new employment and immediate utilization of American ingenuity and resources.

So now its the entire Republican Party’s fault if some crazy white guy dares to harm a hair on the LightWorker’s head? Doesn’t this mean its the Democrat Party’s fault whenever a black guy or an illegal alien kills a white guy?

The problem with Ayers is that it’s true. When McCain wins people will be saying that Obama got Ayer-ed.

Or that he is an Ayre Head.

If anything happens to Senator Obama, Palin and McCain have blood on their hands, IMHO.

We conservatives are sending a powerful, inadvertent message with this negative campaign against Barack Obama’s associations and former associations: that we lack a positive agenda of our own and that we don’t care about the economic issues that are worrying American voters.

Funny, that line of thinking wasn't applied to Obama's campaign when they tried to destroy Governor Palin. And that continues to this day.

I know of an office that is just now starting to buzz with the news of Ayers. They don't even have all the details yet...just "did you hear about this...?"

McCain needs to be unrelenting about The Obama/Ayers/Chavez connection. Obama has already been caught in a lie, now just keep pulling the string till it unravels. Let 'em squeal about it--that's just an attempt to stop the inquiry in its tracks. GO FOR IT MCCAIN, you owe it to your country even if you don't win.
