When the Monsterettes were little, sometimes I'd catch one with her hand behind her back, trying to hide something from me. That's how I knew she was up to no good.

If there's no "there" there, why did the 0bama campaign put out an Action Alert to try to shout down the Kurtz/Rosenberg discussing Chicago Annenberg and Woods?

Yes, it's bad that Ayers founded an organization that declared war on the USA (and got away with it). But we should not forget to talk about what he and Obama did when they worked together, years after the bombing thing.

Mike Barone: duh.

This is a powerful reminder that there is not one (Andrew McCarthy) but in fact two relatively high-profile conservative political commentators in this country who have functioning brains.

Fun that this opinion comes on the same day that effeminate pansy Rich Lowry is swooning over the unflappability of the master fraud Obama.

Rich: a great big "GFY" to you.

MB: bravo. Speak the truth; you never know, it might wake up some of the sleeping nitwits in this country.

An idea of what Ayers has in mind for America's schools was provided in his own words not 40 years ago when Obama was eight years old, but less than two years ago in November 2006 at the World Education Forum in Caracas hosted by dictator Hugo Chavez.

With Chavez at his side, Ayers voiced his support for "the political educational reforms under way here in Venezuela under the leadership of President Chavez. We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution. . . . I look forward to seeing how . . . all of you continue to overcome the failures of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane."

paul006 has been in a state of panic since March when he posted that Republicans were doomed to lose to either Obama or Hillary.

It’s amazing to me the number of HA posters who say McCain doesn’t have cahones. Some of you should look in the mirror.

Ah. Well that explains it all then. Stop insulting the rest of us in your vain attempts to justify your decision to give up, Paul.

The Democrats don’t deserve to win; but we deserve to lose. A party as trifling and morally dwarfed as ours has no business governing a great nation.

paul006 on October 8, 2008 at 1:54 PM

Just because we get riled when we repeatedly hear how LITTLE is being revealed of Obama's DANGEROUS background, does not mean we no longer care about the issues that you keep parrotting about.

That is why this website has the convenient format of separating topics the way it does. This is where we vent our thoughts on the Ayers issue. If you ONLY want to discuss the economy, do it in one of the economy threads - there's plenty to choose from and you'll see just as much raving by us there. We don't do so here because it's OFF TOPIC!!

I can't be any more clear, so "short version": YES WE CARE. We're just not discussing it HERE.

Investigative journalism is dead.

The American people are about to "hire" a man that the MSM hasn't done their due diligence with his records, or lack thereof.

Working in HR, I've seen receptionist get a more thorough background check than the MSM has done with Obama.

I’m still convinced the two of them crossed paths when Obama was at Columbia, and Obama went to Chicago because of Ayers.

I'm with you McLovin! I believe that is one of the reasons he will not release anything about his Columbia years because his involvement with Ayers starts there.

Character and Judgment are two keys qualities Americans look for in a President. Obama has none. I heard that “Resistance is futile” once on a Star Trek episode. The mind hive is busy working it seems. Collectivism is just around the corner. The liberal brainwashing is on high right now, and it is sucking the very foundations of our individualism right out of our brains. Wake up people! Can’t you see beyond this empty suit of rhetoric? This is Saul Alinsky tactics, this is Frank Marshall Davis tactics, this is Malcolm X tactics, this Reverand Wright tactics, this is Father Flager tactics, this is Farrakhan tactics, this man was delivered to us by Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour and the Saudi Prince Al-Waleed Bib Talal. Follow the money trail! Do you know these people? Have you done your homework? Are you informed voters?

As Michelle Phillips wrote on September 26th:

An excerpt from Subversives for Obama...

"Barack Obama appears to sit on a nexus between Marxist revolutionary activists, unrepentant former terrorists, Black Power racists, Chicago mobsters – oh, and a Saudi who is trying to buy up America. If you were to turn up at US immigration control with a background of such associates, it’s a fair bet they wouldn’t let you off the air-bridge. Yet this man may well become President of the US! If any other candidate had had merely a fleeting relationship with William Ayers, his candidacy would have been terminated before it was even articulated -- let alone what we now know about Obama’s key role in Ayers’s CAC and its funding of radical groups; let alone the fact that Obama had been mentored during his formative years by a Communist Party plant; let alone his work for organizations modeled on the seditious philosophy of Saul Alinsky; let alone his two-decade membership of a Black Power church; let alone his relationship with fraudster Tony Rezko. And yet despite all of this, virtually no-one in the mainstream media is asking any questions. Has there ever been a more staggering, surreal and scary race to the White House?"

... the american electorate will not care about these things.

Marine_Bio on October 8, 2008 at 1:43 PM

It's not just the American electorate that doesn't care. Many of the people who post here don't seem to care. We just want our red meat. We want scandal and dirt and theatre, and anything that helps us to feel morally superior to our ideological opponents. We are the Jerry Springers of politics.

How far we've come from the days of Ronald Reagan, when the GOP had vision and purpose. As a political party, we Republicans have become a profoundly unserious people. (Is it because even most Republicans were educated in public schools? I don't know.)

The Democrats don't deserve to win; but we deserve to lose. A party as trifling and morally dwarfed as ours has no business governing a great nation.
