I love Sarah Palin, and I thought she won handily in her debate – but she did not go after Joe Biden in a similar way, when he was fabricating stories. Of course, she probably didn’t realize she was going to be debating Walter Mitty.

Yes, he did in this interview. When talking about his dislike of Columbia giving a platform to Ahmadinejad in May, 2007, Obama was asked a question about his prior assertion that he would talk with Ahmadinejad and whether he would still meet with him. Obama accepted the premise and said he would and expanded on same while naming names.

Only problem – Obama’s voters probably won’t be reading ANYTHING.

But we’re down big on points right now and need an economic right hook. Where is it?

The Fannie/Freddie jibe is a start. Let that soak in a bit and then extrapolate at the next rally (or Mac can run with it tonight in the debate).

I know almost everyone has a real estate story, so I might as well add mine:

I live in a cookie cutter area east of Phoenix that got started about 2003. Builders sold low to investors from California who bought up 2 – 4 – 6 homes to flip them knowing the builders would raise prices as the area caught “the buzz”. By the time they placed resident/selling restrictions, it was too late.

Now we have neighborhoods with abandoned and rental homes. People dumped them last year. We did fairly well on our previous home so we stuck with the plan working towards retirement within the next 7-10 years. Starting in Dec 04, we went from 150,000 to 280,000 in about 2 years. Now we are back down to ? (who wants to look). So now we wait. Not a totally bad thing but we were hoping a reasonable market in the Valley of the Sun would work out better than it has so far.

It might be the area I live in, but I was a realtor and maybe one of the properties I sold went to a speculator and he rented the property out rather than defaulting. The rest of the homes I sold went to regular people, some of them with conventional loans, some not.

Didn’t he also say he didn’t hear all the vitriol comments in Wright’s sermons? Humor and sarcasm can be very damaging and travel far if there are any facts behind it…..there are…. and the voters fill in the blanks…..she does it extremely well.

Tell 1 voter about a personal attack and they may tell family members.

Tell 1 voter a comment of humor and sarcasm and they will tell 10.
