Video: Meltdown on “The View” over Ayers and Obama
posted at 3:06 pm on October 7, 2008 by Allahpundit
The first clip is yesterday’s undercard, the second today’s Shepherd vs. Hasselbeck main event, in which Sherri goes for the moral equivalence jugular by comparing The One’s professional comfort with a terrorist to McCain cheating on his first wife. Barbara and Whoopi are the ones to watch, though, as neither can quite conceive why a guy who declared war on his own country, replete with a body count, and never got around to feeling sorry about it would still be thought of as a political liability. Why, it happened 40 years ago, well beyond the, um, “statute of limitations” of terrorism, and of course he’s “moved beyond” all that now. Except, of course, he hasn’t.
Exit question I’ve asked before but which, sadly, must be repeated: These meltdowns just aren’t the same without big Ro, are they?

ABC is racist for allowing a big angry black person to attack a petite blond girl. Obviously they are projecting some sort of stereotype. Someone call the AP!

So far, it seems that the closer we get to the target, the more shrill and angry and incoherent the other side gets. Following this logic, Barry O’Hopenchange and his merry band of misfits must really be worried about the Ayers story becoming front-page news.

I think the main point to be gleaned from this is that the Ayers attacks are working, or these deranged harridans wouldn’t be talking about it at all. And the more it gets talked about, even on a crappy show like The View, the more people hear about Obama’s longstanding association with this scumbag.

If McCain associated with and launched his political career from the house of an abortion bomber who was freed due to a legal technicality and said ‘I don’t regret targeting the abortion mills, I wish we did more’ then I think that they’d find a way to get upset with McCain and this person.

I wish people would quit saying that. Few conservatives will even go on that show and for good reason. Plus, do you really think Walters would allow a stronger conservative on the show?
No offensive but it’s simply a fantasy to believe The View will ever have someone like Tammy Bruce or Laura Ingraham replace Hassleback on the show.
The only reason they even have one conservative is because they feel she’s harmless.
Esthier on October 7, 2008 at 3:27 PM
Now we know what a community organzier does:
1. pals around with unrepentant terrorists, endorsing their book and launching political careers in their living rooms
2. pressuring banks to give bad loans under threat of being accused of redlining to such an extent that the global economy ultimately fails
3. voter fraud

In a one-on-one debate, Whoopi could probably hold her own against Tammy Bruce, but I doubt the others could. (Didn’t one of their hosts seriously argue the Earth was flat?) The problem is that when you are outgunned 3:1 (4:1 if you count Barbara WaWa), you just get overrun. As Cindy McCain said, they will just “pick your bones clean.”
I think rumor has it that Hasselback is going to quit The View and go onto Fox News. I doubt they’ll replace her with another conservative.

I love Whoopie’s, “Barack Obama is not the terrowist” (sounding almost like Bawbwa Walters). Clearly this issue has them rattled and they don’t know how to deal with it.
Imagine being in the unseemly role of having to defend Obama on this. You can just see how utterly uncomfortable these apologists are at having to lower themselves this way. Just an inkling of what it would be like to have O as president: Lots of people holding their noses.
Obama’s current high in the polls is quite fragile. The double-barreled attacks of McCain-Palin will obliterate this lead. Just watch.

I remember when it first came out, and I wanted to like it back then, but it was horrible. Since then I only watch what Allah posts.
My mom catches it while she gets ready in the morning for work but only because it comes on right after the program she actually wants to watch. It always makes her mad, and she’ll tell me how she knows she should just turn it off but doesn’t since it’s just on while she’s getting dressed.
Other than that, I know no one who watches the show.

Sorry for the off-topic post, but I read that Jerome Corsi, the guy who wrote “The Case Against Barack Obama”, has been detained in Kenya (the country Obama referred to as “home” when he visited there…saw that in the CNN transcript of his remarks) – I was thinking it was just too bizarre to believe, and wondered if anyone knew anything about it.

Responding to the action in the first clip, re William Aires:
Typical left wing/liberal/Democrat behavior is on display in that clip.
1) Whoopie Goldberg filibusters, repeatedly raises her hand up to, and into Hasselbeck’s face, and is allowed to ramble on, virtually shouting, for an extended period of time, permitted to speak and speak until she thought she had made her point.
2) Hasselbeck was interrupted IMMEDIATELY, as Shepherd, and the others, repeatedly interrupted, spoke over Hasselbeck, would not let her finish a single point uninterrupted, and all in self righteous indignation.
3) Walters, Shepherd, and Goldberg all revealed their lack of judgement and their ignorance of the facts, and their willingness to sweep the dangers, based on factual information, of Barrack Obama’s radical underpinnings, and how that relates to a person who is striving to “serve” as commander-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of the United States of America, representing and “serving” 300,000,000 (three hundred million) US citizens.
Character, judgment, and ideals DO matter.
Obama, his wife, and his supporters, all display a contempt for the USA, for the US military, for innocent babies inside the womb, as well as those already outside of the womb, and for the free market system, as they have been involved in, and supportive of, Socialist-Marxist political-econimic-cultureal systems over those of a free market economy, a respect for human life and human dignity, and they also have engendered an outrageous misogyny toward conservative women, and racist approach to blacks, and others, who just “Don’t have their minds right,” and against whites as devils and the source of all evil.
The panel on the view, and their claques in the audience who, predictably, generously contribute thunderous applause at the panel’s myopic, leftist “Views,” is a disgrace, is populated by leftist, sexist, racist individuals – Hasselbeck excluded, who reveal that they don’t understand basic ideals about integrity, honesty, dedication, freedom, and respect.
Although I have an understanding of the offensive content, and mindless banter and pabulum spewed on the view, of their diarrhea of the mouth, if it weren’t for the clips introduced via HotAir I’d have no idea of the sickening shenanigans taking place on national television during this election in support of a Socialist-Marxist terrorist encouraging Neville Chamberlain wannabe, and the leftists/liberals/Democrats whose influence and draconian actions and words are poisoning our once great nation.
Yes,
They their own behavior it is revealed that the leftists on the View are rude, impolite, arrogant, condescending, disrespectful, malicious, uninformed, and lack judgement and character.
There. I’ve said it!

Sorry to repeat this, but these questions aren’t paramount tonight, but they are still critical. To that end, make sure that you read Thomas Sowell’s article from NRO today:
http://article.nationalreview.com/print/?q=ZmM1NzBkNGI4MGRkZjFmOTg4ZjU3ODVjNmE5ZGM0OGI=
He makes the critical point that Ayers, Wright, Rezko, and the others weren’t merely acquaintainces of Obama’s–they were allies of Obama’s.

highhopes,
That is a great idea!
Although your post could be oonstrued as intended as humor, it does have merit as a serious consideration.
With “The View,” or, rather “The Leftist-Marxist-Terrorist Sympathetic View,” there is ample evidence to support such a claim, as there are hours and hours of video to prove the point.
One problem, however … Hasselbeck has repeatedly defended the environment and behavior of “The View” thugs.
I find that defense of those thuggish, disrespectful, hate filled individuals by Hasselbeck, in and of itself, disturbing!

Like Carville said “liberalism is a disease”
tomas on October 7, 2008 at 3:58 PM
Amusing.
Whoopi, Bwabwa and the others just melt when faced with the truth:
“Wright is a hate-monger…”
Was Whoopi’s reply really something like : “As a black person …”?
Exactly how does this justify / excuse Wright’s words? Maybe there’s a reason her other media venture failed. It looks like The View is not far behind.
And (Whoopi, Bwabwa, and maybe the other two) about Ayres: “You have to stop saying …”?
Why? These things are true, and they are relevant to today. Further, the media refuse to investigate them at all. Perhaps they have no response.
.
“Obama associated with Ayres, a domestic terrorist …”
The argument that Obama was 8 when Ayres did his thing is irrelevant. The point is that Obama, a 30-something Harvard-educated adult at the time, associated with Ayres, knowing what Ayres had done.
Further, Ayres still holds his beliefs from the 60’s, certainly during all the years he and Obama worked, funded Leftist educational organizations, and palled-around together. At least, he and Bernardine said so to Connie Chung.
Maybe the potential Connie Chung link has BwaBwa worried; replacement by a new, fresh face is always possible. Ratings, remember?
John McCain was an adult when he associated with men who would later be convicted (the Keating 5), but he likely did not know this at the time (who did?) and was himself exonerated. Does McCain still associate with any of the Keatnig 5?
.
I note that BwaBwa and Whoopi are always allowed to finish their soliloquies, but one person never is. Why? Is the truth too painful?
Isn’t Bwabwa, that paragon amonger professional interviewers, even a little bit concerned how this makes her look?
Arbalest on October 7, 2008 at 3:59 PM
