Please don’t just bitch about this guys. We need to write/contact the NFL and the companies that advertise with them. There is a time to act and this is it.

We allow the media to do what it does to our candidates.
Often without a real remedy.
This is an easy one to control if we’d just get off our asses and do something.

I halt the DVR when Costas, Collingsworth and Olbergoon are on at half-time and start watching Heroes or Terminator: The Sarah (Palin) Connor Chronicles.. I'll let ESPN know that I'm watching Fox and NBC rather than suffer through their inane political discussions on a sports show. What makes media celebrities think that they can inject their ideological nonsense on us? We pay for them to entertain us, not preach their Obama-worship.../seething

BTW, caught a couple of minutes of Max Kellerman on ESPN Radio earlier and he called Sarah Palin mentally retarded. He was using the Matt Damon dinosaurs talking points.

Kellerman wants to be a cross between Jim Rome and Howard Cossell. Hearing him do analysis on an HBO boxing event makes you hope Larry Merchant (whom he’s trying to replace) lives forever.

As for Olbermann, at the start of last season, he managed to screw the pooch on his “Worst Person In the NFL Segement” in Week 1 by giving the award to New York Giants’ coach Tom Coughlin, based on claims made by his new broadcast partner Tiki Barber, and he also told a story about Coughlin’s car being stolen that was meant to show how totally clueless the Giants’ coach was.

Only problem was, the stolen car incident didn’t happen to Coughlin, it happened to the coach he replaced, Jim Fassel. so Keith’s fidelity to the truth on “Football Night in America” is as lame as it is on “Countdown”. And of course, once being vilified by Olby as a clueless slave driver (who probably voted for George W. Bush), Coughlin was left with nothing but the humiliation of having to play out the season and win the Super Bowl. So Keith’s character judgment is as good on “Football Night in America” as it is on “Countdown”.

fwiw, as a regular viewer of Sunday Night Football on NBC, what I do is wait until i see the kickoff teams lined up before tuning in, then I change the channel immediately as soon as I hear that Olby is coming on at halftime or whenever. I simply refuse to give this clod my viewership. NBC’s decision to loop Olby into their Sunday football coverage is grotesque. To me Olby is like Bill Maher: the minute i so much as see their faces on TV, i go outside to do something or change the channel.

just in car on lunch, local sports talk radio was playing clips of the Palin/Biden debate(palin only clips). Didn’t listen long enough to figure out the slant they were going with, but it was SPORTS talk radio.

then flipped to FM, local rock station said something about searching youtube or google for “Palin Sex Tape” ???

This is crazy, she has the media completely spooked
