For a contrarian view that maybe McCain should be spending more time on Ayers and, especially, on Wright and less on the economy, read Jay Cost or just eyeball the favorables graph down near the bottom of his post.

If McCain will take off the gloves he wins the mud fight. If he’s channelling Dole 96 we’re screwed. McCain should do WHATEVER the MSM says he shouldn’t ’cause then in defending Obama they have to bring the negative subjects up.

Vietor said McCain has been consistent in calling for less regulation, “proving that he hasn’t learned any lessons from the last banking scandal he was involved in.”

For many democrats, that’s what they wanted. Because this would help them politically. And to make sure that Bush’s legacy in Iraq would be defeat. No thinking person would want this to happen. And of course democrats have supported going in to Darfur, to prevent a genocide. And to put troops into harm’s way and get killed. Wanting Iraqis to die from our pullout to “leave the Iraqi people to their destiny” while wanting peacekeeping in other areas is completely hyprocritical.

As I said. The people who wanted us out of Iraq were counting on more pain and suffering to occur.

Definitely, that is what has to be asked, and I believe McCain will press him on that.

I was just pointing to what Obama claims is proof that he was on top of things, but as that blog post shows, it all adds up to a big, fat nothing.

Gee, I hope McCain doesn’t pull a Brady this year.

For myself, I’d be happy to see the election season follow yesterday’s ‘Skins/Eagles game… McCain’s defense stiffens up, allowing him to come from behind on the strength of a solid ground game and a great trick play.

I watched it. McCain was superb! He threw out everything that the MSM has been hiding. Who IS Barack Obama?

That’s so important. Who indeed is Obama? What’s that thing inside him that drives him, his character, his values, his dreams, what is tender and precious within him. His election is so much of a trainwreck to me. I supported McCain in 2000 because he’s a fiscal hawk. McCain-Palin is a great “reform” ticket.

And when Palin says “[Obama] isn’t a man who sees America like we see America”, don’t equate that with “doesn’t look like the presidents on the dollar bill” and “did I mention he’s black”. Apples and oranges.

You know how Obama and his surrogates keep saying that he warned about the subprime crisis 2 years ago, yadda yadda yadda?

Simple response: “Senator Obama you’re a SENATOR. Talking about things is for pundits who are not responsible for action. Don’t give us JUST WORDS, tell us what you did. What legislation did you submit? What bills did you co-sponsor? In what ways did you use your office to attempt to forestall the crisis? What exactly did you DO?”

And the format is townhall, which is McCain’s forte. But not Obama’s.

Depends if the crowd is CNN plants or not. Need tough questions.
