The first clip comes from The One, the second from the NRA. Note the reference to criminal illegal aliens; that alone would be enough to tell you it’s not the handiwork of Team Maverick or the RNC.
For your companion reading, PJM’s primer on the Joyce Foundation’s legal scholarship campaign against Second Amendment rights. I trust board member Barack Obama voted “present.”

Oh, I DO hope they show up at my door…I’ll give ‘em my guns, all right. Bullets first.

Certainly, for one very important reason…they have our names. Tracking us down is less work.

Names are a wonderful thing everyone ought to have a few ask an illegal….
if it comes down to it hand in half of them and hide the rest.

Perhaps we can talk Vice President Cheney into taking old Greg West bird hunting in south Texas?

Greg says he’s a life member. Is he? John Kerry said he was a “hunter”. Uh, yeah, sure.

So that cat in the first video could be called a “Fud” or a “Zumbo”?

Dummy up a receipt and make a few hundred dollar deposit at the same time. I had several guns, sold them to some Barry O. guy for $500. Just saying…

I have a feeling Greg in the first video is a union member.

The first video appears to be unavailable now or at least that is the message I am getting when I try to play it.

I attended the Joyce sponsored “Second Amendment Symposium” held at IIT-Kent referred to by David Hardy’s PJM article.
I heard Carl Bogus specifically state that the Symposium would be ANTI gun rights, no “pro-gun” speakers or opinions allowed.
I also get a preview of “Arming America,” that fraudulent book written by Michael Bellesiles, that claimed that early America didn’t have or use guns based upon mostly made up “probate records.”
I also heard Bellesiles defame amateur historian Clayton Cramer. The irony is that it was Cramer that later prompted historian James Lindgren into beginning the deconstruction of the Bellesiles’ thesis, which resulted in his resignation from Emory University and revocation of his “Historian of the Year” award.
And I heard other personal attacks on pro-RKBA scholars, which is a pattern the left always uses to advance its agenda.
The money for this gun-hating “symposium” came from the Joyce Foundation. Obama was on the board of Directors and he supported the effort.
Any video ad purporting to claim the Obama supports the Second Amendment is an outright lie.

I don’t know where you are now, but I would suggest somewhere that you can get to on less than one tank of gas. Take into account the prevailing winds (think nuclear accident, etc.) and the lines of migration for the unprepared masses. There is good information on selecting a retreat at survivalblog.com. If you (like me) can’t afford to purchase suitable property right now, get a network of likeminded folks together and start making general plans. I have medical training, my neighbor is a machinist, my buddy up the road is LEO/Army, my pediatrician is on board, we have a gunsmith, etc…One of our group owns a cabin in the hills, but does not have the firepower or tools necessary to sustain a homestead long term. We’ll bring the tools and he will provide shelter, good trade, IMO.
It’s not always about the tools, knowledge goes a long way. Start acquiring books about medical care, gardening, canning/preserving, all the things that my grandparents did themselves. Start stockpiling dry goods. Put together a bug out bag (change of clothes, food and water for 3 days, first aid, ammo, etc) and carry it in your car in case you are prevented from returning home. Also comes in handy for non emergency situations such as getting soaked in a sudden rain storm, or stuck somewhere away from home because of snow…
In short, just get into a preparedness mindset and stay there.
