As I recall from my political theory classes way back in the ancient days. Most voters start paying attention and decide within the last two weeks before the election. So with that in mind the months BO has spent on the road may not have a lot of impact.

That is correct.

Good ad in that it helps the Congressional candidates without contradicting the “across the aisle” approach.

And keep this in mind on the whole election:

If our side wins, great! In that case, the country as an entity remains in line with (albeit imperfectly) the way it has traditionally been. And the conservative/Right continues its work (regardless of McCain, for that matter), and the fight was worth everything we put into it.

If our side loses, it means America has indeed shifted that far Left. In that case, the country as an entity is definitively out of line with the way it has traditionally been. If that is the case, then that is the case, and it was a lost cause anyway.

Then each of us has two choices:

1. Give up on the country as it will be, and act according to your own conscience and sense of loyalty,

or

2. Continue on as before, attempting to continue the work of the conservative/Right in a country that has definitively turned to a different state of being.

We don’t know the state of the country at this time. SO WHY NOT FIGHT?! If we’re successful, we’re saved. If we’re not, it probably didn’t matter anyway.

When the battle is lost-ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK. Palin has shown she is a big gun, time to let it fire at will.

I started thinking about the whole “defining” meme, and I came up with one on my continued reading on Berg v. Obama Update over at America’s Right. Gooood Reading!

Try this one on for size after reading Jeff’s analysis of the case:

Candidate: (n)
1. a person who seeks an office, honor, etc.: a candidate for governor.
2. a person who is selected by others as a contestant for an office, honor, etc.
3. a person who is deserving of or seems destined for a certain end or fate: Such a reckless spender is a candidate for the poorhouse.

1 and 3 respectively are both, most conclusively descriptive of Obama. The problem with that definition is it lacks qualification.

Even with my AP Eeyore-esque tone about Berg and this case, I’m starting to actually believe that he has a snowball’s chance in Hades of getting somewhere.

I would keep salting in the positive messages through ads, town halls, radio and tv appearances. My husband is so repulsed by Obama at this point that the ads (like the 527-produced one exposing Obama’s do-nothing approach to Afghanistan) showing images of Obama get muted when they come on. He assumes they are Obama ads and turns them off.

It’s my understanding that it is a basic principle in advertising that you not show the other guy’s product. I would really cut down on images of Obama. Use his voice (the Afghanistan ad was effective by having Obama’s quote in his own voice about not holding hearings), but show different images. Otherwise folks may not even watch the ads.

But McCain-Palin also need to run some factual ads showing people what they would do re taxes, spending, oil and how it would affect regular people. And those ads should definitely include images of McCain and Palin standing together in front of cheering crowds.

“The Obama Chicago machine and its allies in the media already destroyed one woman this year. Will you allow them to destroy another?”

Just shlock up photos of Cindy Sheehan and Medea Benjamin with Hugo Chavez, then Barack Obama, and Noam Chomsky/Howard Zinn/International ANSWER, if you can find them. That’s code pink in a nutshell.

Use that as the message backdrop.

That was the most awesome Hannity’s America ever. I hope the McCain campaign was taking copious notes. For one thing, they really need to make the Khalidi al-Mansour connection to Obama. They’ll be called racists, but who cares at this point? They’ve overplayed that hand with that meme.

I also watched last night’s “Hannity’s America”–it was great, but left out the Annenberg Challenge.

This is where McCain/Palin need to hit Obama. Show Obama to be a dangerous radical, who wants to put all his fire-breathing socialist Capitol-bombing banker-scaring THUGS in control of our country! Maybe 40% of the voters are dimwitted enough to WANT this, but this should scare the living daylights out of the 20% in the mushy middle, who may not like Bush, but don’t want Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Richard Daley, ACORN, and a modern-day Big Brother running the country!

Sarah Palin made a good start yesterday with her “palling around with radicals” comment. She and McCain need to explain all the gory details, QUICKLY AND CONCISELY ON TV. Their message needs to be: Unless you are a socialist radical, Barack Obama is DANGEROUS to your freedom, to your safety, to your wallet, and to your country!

Remember, it was the economy that brought Communism to Russia and Nazism to Post WWII Germany. All of the elements are in place and Democrats are ready to push for the bigger Government role.

Watch and listen very carefully to this 1985 interview of KGB propaganda agent Yuri Bezmenov who defected from Russia in the 1070′s.

Every American needs to see this video, because what is happening right now is a direct result of the plans Bezmenov lays out in great detail. We have passed the destabilization phase and with 5 weeks remaining until our elections, we are currently in the crisis stage.

It would be far more effective for McCain to show some of that winning personality that he supposedly has but never demonstrates on the campaign trail.

He worked his ass off behind closed doors to at least improve the crappy Bush admin proposal, trusted what his president told him, and still Wall Street is tanking.

But he still voted for it. And what the hell is all the stuff about Katrina? There’s plenty of blame to go around over that debacle starting with Nagin and Blanco’s response. The morons down here are so damned stupid they are even going to reelect Jefferson to office. New Orleans needs to be abandoned as a completely worthless city filled with fat dumb people.

It’s actually kinda scary that somebody who ran for president, and who appears to think he was by far the best choice for the job, doesn’t understand those basic facts.
