To all those people that did early voting and voted for Obama,
Go back and fix your vote.

Kini on October 7, 2008 at 1:00 AM

Do McCain and Palin have the same blood type?

‘Cos I swear she must have given him a transfusion!

Tuesday Obama gets pawned.

Anyone who goes into the voting booth knowing full well that a vote for one of these third party cand.is a vote for Obama must live with his or her conscience knowing that Obama and the libs. in congress will distory this nation. If you can live with that go ahead but don,t come back on Hot Air blog next year and start talking about how bad things are !!!

AMEN

And when they are trying hundreds of our troops for “war crimes” and hand down the death penalties, don’t come around and say that there was just no way anybody could have predicted it.

Dick Durbin–”Pol Pot”
Obama–”air raiding and killing civilians”
Murtha–”cold blooded murder”

I can’t believe all the quitters on here! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Get out there and finally kick them in the teeth.
They’ve been sucker-punching us for months with the help of twisted journalists and big media.

Character attacks on Obama are definitely in bounds because it’s his character that DISQUALIFIES his as President in the first place. It’s hard to criticize BO’s record because there’s no little he’s done in his political career. Voting “present” doesn’t mean squat.

Losing is not an option folks so you’d better get out there and give it 110%. If it takes money to 527’s to get the message out on TV then DO IT and stop complaining about being behind in the (stupid) polls.

I seriously doubt that we are actually that far behind in the polls. I would bet that the media is trying to throw out deceiving polls numbers to help show that the race is out of control. Saying something over and over eventually makes the statement seem like fact. CNN polls said that Biden won the VP debate right? Did they even watch it????

I’m looking for a finish like the Oklahoma-Boise State Fiesta Bowl finish.

I’ve been contending with the defeatism for weeks on here. Allahpundit does what he can to fan the flames of discontent. He should be fired.

Never gonna happen, Tommygun. MM may not always be the sharpest crayon in the box, but she appears to be loyal.
I’d like to think there’s some subtext to AP’s defeatism here. Something to get the blood circulating and the keyboards smoking. But, maybe he’s just a jerk who likes to poke his finger in your eye. Only his hairdresser knows for sure.

We all remember that scene, those dirty little Germans, dressed like the Japanese.

McCain needs to make the following point: My Friends, the stock market has lost $X trillion in value since the Fannie/Freddie collapse. This is a huge loss in personal wealth to millions of Americans — very serious business that changes people’s spending, saving and retirement planning. If the stock market were to return to its previous level under my opponent’s tax plan, $Y billion less of that money would go to investors realizing gains than under my plan, because of Sen. Obama’s proposed increases in capital gains taxes.

I am fine with the attacks on Obama. In fact this is exactly what needs to be done. I am fine with fighting to the last moment to defeat Obama and keep a left wing radical out of the White House.

I am not so good with the idea that the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor. I seem to remember that it was Imperial Japan that did that.

I am also not fine with people slamming you if you decide to criticize something that McCain/Palin is doing. If I criticize it is only because I am trying to voice what I feel is the way to victory. Not because I have given up.

I’m the grandson of a Pearl Harbor survivor and myself a former resident of Pearl City, HI. I’m sure I saw a movie in 1978 or so at a theater there where the bombing was indeed attributed to the Germans.

Do you care more about Republican values or “conservative” values? Allahpundit and Michelle Malkin have done a pretty decent job at calling a spade a spade. If McCain does well, he gets praised for it. If he does something dumb, he’s called on it. Some of us don’t care for party allegience. We’re voting on principle, which means that neither Obama nor McCain deserve the “conservative” vote. Not one person has refuted any of my arguments against voting for Obama or McCain. My inclination is that people are scared. People wanting “conservative” values are too scared to risk what little they have left to do what’s right and vote for a “conservative”. You’re like the high school girl who sells herself short by staying with the abusive boyfriend. She hopes that he’ll change, fears that she can’t do any better, and doesn’t wish to lose what little she does have. In a word: pitiful.
True “conservative” should say, “No, we’re not voting for you unless you believe as we believe. That goes for either party.” Imagine if “conservatives” did this.

I’m sure many of us (myself included) would love to see that ideal world. But in the real world as it exists today that would get a candidate up to 30% of the vote at most. Unfortunately we don’t get many ideal options in reality. We can work towards them, but when the time comes we do have to select among options and results that exist in reality TODAY.

1. Life is too short not to be an idealist.

1. Life is too short not to be an idealist.

As I said, ideal options are rare. Statistically speaking life is too short not to be a pragmatist.

2. “Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” ~John Quincy Adams

You’ll have sweet reflections to cherish. And the US will get Obama. And then your sweet reflections will fade away, and the US will still have Obama.

DarkCurrent on October 7, 2008 at 1:46 PM

This is pretty damning.

Obama counterattacking McCain for his role in Keating 5 is like saying “You have no right to say I’m a murderer because you got a ticket for jaywalking!”

I did. You have some good points, and the intellectual dawn almost seems to break when you point out:

The advantage that liberals have: they have tactical patience.
