Russert was a democrat to be sure, but in the aftermath of Russert’s death, there’s nobody at GE-TV to steer the ship anywhere near the middle.

Russert would have played the clip where Qween L unabashedly hocked her book at the top of the debate and asked Ifill how it was possible that the book didn’t compromise her as the clip obviously suggested.

Truth is good, Bradky – don’t be afraid of it or try to drown it out with misstatements. Always face it squarely, especially when it works against you, or you will find yourself promoting lies, or worse, living one.

In this video, Ifill misrepresented what Palin said while on Meet the Depressed.
Ifill said Sarah Palin was transparent, in that Sarah was upfront and honest about saying she was not going to answer the questions in the debate. She never said that. Ifill just lied!
That was a lie! Sarah, during a single question, responded with “I am not going to answer that question the way the moderator and my opponent wants me to,” Or words very similar to that. That is not the same as saying,”I’m not going to answer the questions in the debate, I’m going to speak directly to the American people.”
Sarah did debate. She answered questions with a great deal of substance. And yes, she spoke to the American people.
Poor Ifill wanted to control things more. Well, too bad.

Some of you act as if Palin could take a dump on the stage and that would be a defining moment that should not be criticized. So what if Ifill is for Obama – good test for a VP candidate as to how they handle someone who is aiming nukes at us rather than talking points….

It has nothing to do with her preferences, Ifill was deceitfull. Even now she nothing wrong with what she did.

False assumption about Ifill – professionalism is who you are when no one is looking. Nothing about her non-disclosure of her book deal was professional, nor to put it bluntly is her whining-after-the-fact. (Ifill is likely just upset Palin didn’t give her book deal national publicity, that’s all. As Palin once said, the whining really doesn’t help women’s causes. Because Ifill got outed, there was nothing she could do against Palin that wouldn’t highlight her hypocrisy and bias. She painted herself into a corner and got field dressed.)

Ifill should thank her stars that Palin didn’t call her fraud on national television.

Because it would highlight that person’s abject ignorance.

The tightrope she’s walking must be very fatiguing, because now she’s frightened: “some part of me fears they’re going to open up the gates of hell on this one.”

She apparently wasn’t frightened when Obama told his supporters to get in the faces of opponents, or tried to legally bully the organization that produced the Ayers ad. She wasn’t frightened when the Obama Action Wire directed his bots to call-bomb a Chicago radio station — twice — to stifle free speech by two respected authors that his campaign branded as “liars” for daring to publish negative research on his less than illustrious Chicago history. She’s not frightened that the origin of millions of dollars of Obama campaign contributions are being questioned by the FEC, and, of course, she’s not frightened about the massive voter fraud by Acorn. And she most certainly isn’t frightened when the AP decides that the word “terrorist,” used in reference to a friend of Obama’s, is now racist.

None of that is frightening, but the possibility that the McCain camp will go on the attack is eliciting shrieks of an impending apocalypse.
