I saw the movie and thought it was great. Lots of laughs. However, the movie is PG-13 and it earned every bit of that PG-13. Not a movie to take the little kids too, they might start using language like the kids in this movie to get laughs.

I took the entire family to see it, and it was good enough to cause me to want to buy a copy of it as soon as it is available.

I would have written the ending differently, but overall it was great!

I saw this movie today and thought it was hilarious. I loved how they tore Michael Moore apart and made him look like a complete idiot (which really isn’t that hard to do.) Let’s help ensure that this movie beats Bill Maher’s piece of crap anti-religion movie.

I posted in the headlines but I’ll give people here a update also. I went to see AAC today. The ticket taker asked if I was by myself because a couple was asking for tickets to a later playing because they could not finds seats together. When I express surprise she stated that it had been pretty full the entire weekend. I personally got a Bob Uecker seat, if anyone is old enough to recognize the reference.

Completely disagree. In “Team America,” only Hollywood celebrities get mocked for saying outrageous things. The right and the Bush Administration are mocked for having a misguided foreign policy. Team America a.k.a the Bush Administration tries to save the world, but ends up messing things up worse than before. You also see Team America ignoring mistakes made and having an ineffective foreign policy, which has no end solution.

“Team America” is by no means a conservative comedy. It is a movie too afraid to make a stand on anything, and instead just mocks anybody with an opinion.

It was suppose to be 9th on opening, which I think is excellent because it was only open in about 4 theaters in the major metropolitan area where I liver. When I went to see it yesterday, it was about 75% full (good for a Saturday matinee I think). It was a solid film, and many of the comments in the above posts are reasonable. John Voight’s sequence will be the most memorable, and the take-down of the Holywood glitterati was outstanding. I, personally, could have done without the Mike Malone youth sequence and the disabled kids portion, but overall there were a lot of hearty laughs. The audience gave it a rousing ovation at the end.

My wife and I saw the last show on Friday night at 9:40 with a pretty full theater of people. I loved it! My wife thought it was enjoyable. We are another coupe where she says B to B- but I say B+ to A-! My fav? “I just enjoy slapping you!” oh yeah, and “Uncle A$%H0le” too!

Again, the theater applauded at the end here in San Diego too.

Saw the movie last night with 3 other people. We are in the midwest (northeast KS). It was shown in the smallest theater and was about 50% full. I was happy to see that many of the men from the local Army base there.

Overall a good movie. There could have definitely been more funny parts, but I would go see it again. I challenge anyone who sees it to not get choked up with the scenes of John Voight and 9/11.

Disagree. The problem with “Team America” is that it refused to take a side. If you look at the movie closely, you will see that the movie mocks the Bush Administration and war hawks just as much as liberal celebrities in Hollywood. So in a sense, the movie is criticizing anybody with an opinion about terrorism in the world. With “An American Carol,” the film takes a position and point-of-view and runs with it.

I just love the lone dissenter. He called the movie “slanted.” Obviously he slept through some classes in writing school. Of course the movie is slanted. AAC is taking a side/position. The marketing of this movie made it clear that it was a conservative-themed film, aimed at making fun of the liberals and portraying America as a source of good in this world.

The film reviewer didn’t like it because he disagreed with its point-of-view. I bet if the movie was told from a liberal view, that same reviewer would have not called it bias.

As for the movie itself, it was pretty funny. I laughed a lot. The film does a good job at ridiculing famous liberals and their institutions. The only weak area is showing us more examples on how American is not to be blamed for the terrorism in the world. It was briefly touched upon in the beginning.
