Video: Palinmania meets “24″
posted at 6:40 pm on October 3, 2008 by Allahpundit
Made me laugh, only because (a) she did well enough last night that gags like this now have a shelf life and (b) you could do a similar absurdist goof with footage of Biden’s 7/11 gaffe, his IQ gaffe, his FDR gaffe, etc etc etc etc. I don’t know if it’d work with his actual substantive policy errors, though. How would you have time for all of them? And how would you explain them to a public that hasn’t heard of them before thanks to the media’s refusal to cover them?

Blowback

Kudos to whoever took the time to put this together.

Incredibly stupid and something I would expect from Huffington Post or Moveon.org. Michelle, please fire this libtard.
bill30097 on October 3, 2008 at 6:46 PM
In a world of ObamaYouth and hopejunkie media, Sarah could do worse than to let a nuke wipe them out.
Western_Civ on October 3, 2008 at 6:49 PM
Yeah, Michelle, fire the libtard!
Allahpundit on October 3, 2008 at 6:50 PM
Can you imagine what a real time situation like that with Obama would look like? If the command center wasn’t already defunded, it would have all of Christopher Robin’s friends sitting around the honey pot debating what they should do next.
Spirit of 1776 on October 3, 2008 at 6:51 PM
That’d be an easy “24″ goof to do, too. Just take one of his four-minute answers from the debates, cut it into chunks, and have him droning on and on over the course of the hour.
Allahpundit on October 3, 2008 at 6:53 PM
I second that. This guy sucks.
malan89 on October 3, 2008 at 6:53 PM
I just hope enough of Bush’s domestic security apparatus remains intact to protect the homeland. I know it’s a bit o/t but he shows no judgment and his advisers don’t seem particularly reliable either, as in the case of Georgia. Oh well.
Spirit of 1776 on October 3, 2008 at 6:56 PM
Only an out-of-touch New York elitist RINO would think such an outrageously outrageous thing was funny!

Not cool with the nuke going off, not cool at all and I’m pretty twisted.

Better yet put him in Wrights church with Ayers as the missiles are flying.

Pretty please, Mahmoud, don’t blow the stinking corpse Israel off the map! United Jerusalem, that was just campaign rhetoric. Let’s sit down and talk! Pretty please with 72 virgins on top!

We are not amused…
Bad enough that we have to endure such attempts at comedy from the left, but coming from the right is only friendly fire, and just as deadly.
Please stop.

I put on my blue blazer with the brass buttons before writing this post. Just because I’m that superior.
We all wear them in Queens.
Allahpundit on October 3, 2008 at 6:59 PM
Very funny, but when I think of flute playing I think of Bill and Monica, so maybe it’s not so smart to include that part.
Perfect.

Not even gonna waste the time. I’d rather to back to mentally masturbating over the new McCain “attack” ad in the previous thread.
ManlyRash on October 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM
I knew it.
Related: “24″ is going to suck this year, isn’t it? The ads do not give me hope.
Slublog on October 3, 2008 at 7:03 PM
Speaking of Palin (and Obama!) have you all seen the screaming red headline at Drudge?
Buy Danish on October 3, 2008 at 7:03 PM
I’ll probably get blasted for this, but…while I don’t like a lot of her policies with regards to foreign policy/defense, I wouldn’t be uncomfortable with Hillary being in charge of setting up the structure of the national security responsibilities of the federal government. I think she (or rather, her advisers) would have kept it as strong as it has been under Bush. I’m really worried about what O is going to do with it. He doesn’t seem to have anyone who is realistic or competent on his team. Regardless of how you feel about policy, it should be troubling to any caring, sensible person that we will most likely elect one of the most inexperienced, unknowledgeable Presidents in our entire history.
malan89 on October 3, 2008 at 7:05 PM
Yeah, she said that in one of the clips I posted earlier, I think. I didn’t even blink at it. It’s standard partisan rhetoric being trumpeted by Drudge on a slow news night.
Allahpundit on October 3, 2008 at 7:06 PM
Manlyrash, I think you really need to get out more.
thekingtut on October 3, 2008 at 7:07 PM
That was not cool at all. But it needed to be shown.

Zorro on October 3, 2008 at 7:10 PM
It wasn’t great, but the flute part was funny.
El_Terrible on October 3, 2008 at 7:10 PM
I know. Only a masochist would voluntarily live in Queens. And to think, the sh*thead from the GOP ad about Freddy and Fannie (Rep Meeks) is AP’s congressman. What a shame!
malan89 on October 3, 2008 at 7:12 PM
I’m with ya. I heard the interview earlier when it was live with Carl and I didn’t blink either. I did give her an imaginary fist bump however.
I just thought it was funny that Drudge was treating it as some kind of huge controversy (which it probably will be now as the indignant, patriotic Dems show off their ruffled feathers).
I also think her statement makes it clearer that it’s Barry who should be the subject of the 24 parody.
Buy Danish on October 3, 2008 at 7:14 PM
Hannity filling in for Drudge tonight.
CanadianGuy on October 3, 2008 at 7:14 PM
ROTFLMAO
My Dad is like the loudest, most enthusiastic conservatives I know and even HE thinks Hannity goes WAYYY over the top. Although, to his credit, Hannity was a huge part of killing shamnesty.

Actually that was B-2,just leaving the Iranian airspace,

nuclear stockpiles!!!!
And,after de-brief,SarahCuda,still had time to to throw
moose burgers on the table, take care of her family, have
a beer with Todd, catch the Hockey game,
and jet-set back to Washington,to brief them on the
successful bombimg raid on Crazyjackets nuclear stock-
piles,
any questions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Sarc):)
canopfor on October 3, 2008 at 7:21 PM
I like Hannity most of the time.
It’s just Hannity loves that meme that Palin cited as disqualifying for Obama. He’s like the only person brings up that quote and he brings it up every night on TV and every 20 minutes on his radio show.
CanadianGuy on October 3, 2008 at 7:21 PM
I love Palin and I thought this was hilarious!
CP on October 3, 2008 at 7:22 PM
And also I’m a 24 fan, also. ;)
CP on October 3, 2008 at 7:23 PM
Well that is a variation of the 3am ad I supose. But I have a hard time thinking that nuclear war (however pronounced) is very funny.
And in truth, Palin would be better than Biden or Obama. Biden would bring up his family and Obama would need at least a day or two to realize there was a problem. Umm Ummm Call me if you need me… I have campaigning to do, don’t I?
petunia on October 3, 2008 at 7:24 PM
Seeing how this is the only blog on the internet and AP is the only person writing on said blog I wholeheartedly agree. Fire the libtard. He is single handedly killing the conservative movement. The polls show it! If it wasn’t for the libtard ,McCain would be killing the cult of Obama.
Get a grip people.
As for the video, not that funny really. I guess the flute part was ok, but not good comedy. Grade: D+
Sammy316 on October 3, 2008 at 7:27 PM
That made me laugh. I’ve only been to Queens once, and now I understand why you get pissy so easily. ;)

I thought the 24 episode where Biden and France drove Hezbollah out of Lebananon was funnier.

AP, your actions here have gone from “balancing” to “overt pessimism” to “demoralizing” and now to flat-out and undeniable “undermining.”
Do the honorable thing, AP. Or at least quit this site.

Cindy Munford on October 3, 2008 at 8:04 PM
Sorry,,, things are getting a little too serious now to find time to laugh at more caricatures, lies and distortions put out by socialists.
It’s just not funny any more.
Obama truth squads are threatening and intimidating people who want to express their political views. Obama has associates that are terrorists and thugs. He is getting possible illegal political donations from overseas.
The Democrats have nearly destroyed our economy while pointing their fingers at Republicans.
An Obama President could end up being Jimmie Carter from hell.
Not even the half of it,, just don’t find the propaganda amusing anymore.

This was pretty weak. It just felt choppy, almost random. If you have to force it, it’s not going to be funny.
ynot4tony2 on October 3, 2008 at 8:31 PM
This would be absolutely hilarious with instead of Palin there were shots of Obama saying, “Er, uh, er, ummh, uh, er, uh, uh, uh, er, uh, uh ummh.”

That’s ok, AP is smarter, funnier and more “nuanced” than you morons in flyover country. Don’t forget he knows how to piss people off here to get more pageviews because that’s what it’s all really about. Is there a name for people that make a profession of being a “troll” on their own boards?

The MO is familiar. All these poseurs are trying to pick up on the Obamasiah vids. The Adulteress and The Temple. They will never come close to the imagination in those two vids. NEVAH! I SAY! NEVAAAAAH!
PS: The third Obamasiah vid Walking on Water sucked. They couldn’t even repeat there own successes.

Michelle, what is up with this site lately? If I want to see someone try and make a fool out of Sarah I could go anywhere else on the web.
I try to see the point here, I love a good laugh and satire as much as the next guy but truthfully I’m one liberal post away from closing out my support.
Is there nowhere on the web that is truly safe from this $h*t?
TIP of the day, for whatever it’s worth. Keep the content of this offspring closer to the mother ship.

Some of you are angry at the wrong person…this stuff is out there, AP is just making you aware of it….redirect your anger at the people who created this, in a civil way of course, heh. How about we start by mocking them back using their hard worked on video with some slight changes? That would be fun. I just wish I had the skill…

Allah’s new lib persona is either an attempt to generate web traffic, or he is genuienly slippng and sliding into the realm of Andrew Sullivan.
Remember, the high profile, life-long Republican, turn lib, attracts the drive-by media like flies to a rotting carcass.
Maybe Allah is saying to himself if Andrew can do it so can I.
He might even write a book-How I survived the many years residing among the evil conservatives – Foreword by Andrew Sillivan.

I always thought doing “the honorable thing” meant to marry the girl if you got her pregnant. I don’t see anything indicating that AP has done that here. Maybe people thought that Queens was some girl’s nickname and not where he lived. I can see where that would be confusing.
But now that that’s cleared up, AP, and since you mentioned everyone wearing blue blazers, is it true they always put clear plastic covers on their living room furniture there?
manwithblackhat on October 4, 2008 at 1:13 AM
No. The “honorable thing”, Japanese style: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hari-kiri
A third possibility: AP hates McCain, and is compulsively trying to undermine the campaign. I THOUGHT this site would at least uphold Palin on a personal level, even as highlighting all the alleged gaffes. Apparently that was wrong.
Oh, no. AP, etc., won’t stop. They smell blood. They will keep going until McCain’s (and thus Palin’s) candidacy is no more, and they completely destroy their nose in their compulsive effort to spite their face.
Then Hussein will be President. And the “hate speech” codes, “truth squads”, and just overall PC pressure will be targeted on them.
Hey, “Allah”, what will your new handle be? You know Hussein won’t let you keep that. It’s offensive to his brot…, ur, those with “Muslim faith”. But then, maybe you won’t have to worry about it. You may just be shut down immediately.
