You guys don’t get what their show is about. They both take the extreme positions because it delineates the stark differences between the issues. This is why Bill O is a one man show. Can you imagine two people on a show speaking the same populist message on most issues? Booooooorrrring!

Sean may repeat himself too often, but he will at least allow lib guests to complete their talking points/statements, while Skeletor will talk over, under, around and through (aka interrupt) conservatives and non-lib:lockstep guests when, given the same circumstance, he’s about to get his ass handed to him, and he knows it.

I don’t think Sarah is better at it than Reagan, but you do have a point about Sarah being stuck with having to parrot McCain’s (often unfathomable) message.

Alan Colmes is completely hysterical most of the time and nothing is off limits for him when he starts ranting about Republicans. Someone had to slap him back to reality. Morris did a great job and I would love to see more people slapping that little creep around.

In a way it’s kinda pathetic how easily satisfied conservatives are. Of course we WANT an unapologetically conservative Presidential candidate. But all we really NEED is hope. And Sarah Palin gives us that.

Before Palin, I saw a McCain Presidency exactly as Rush Limbaugh described it: the end of the conservative movement in America. We held our noses and supported George Bush’s “kinder and gentler” insults to the, apparently, “evil and harsh” conservatism that we all know and love. And then, in return for eight years of compromise what did we get? Someone even MORE overtly contemptuous of us and what we stand for.

Sarah Palin changed all of that. In four years (or perhaps even less than that) we’ll have something to look forward to – rather than just being held hostage forever to the slow decline of “at least he’s not as bad as the alternative.”

And that’s all we really need.

The problem with Colmes, like with most liberals, is that the weaker his argument, is the quicker he interrupts the guest. Had he actually let Morris finish his thought he probably wouldn’t have been dressed down like he was. As for talking points Hannity is just as bad as Colmes.

I am not a great fan of Morris but really loved his telling Alan off. Colmes is such a whiner and interupts at the most inappropriate times. I would like to see him replaced with someone like Kirsten Powers. She is able to convey the liberal side of things without being such a whiner. Hannity interupts but usually it is when someone refuses to answer a question and spins talking points instead.

Absolutely agree. I’ve already been smacked down for mentioning the 2nd coming of Reagan. But I mean it. Not right now, no… she’s the VP, not the Presidential candidate.

But she has the same down-to-earth personality that you innately trust. If it was a choice, who would you rather hang out with on a weekend talking politics… her or Joe. There’s no contest!

Now I agree that she may have sounded a little too rehearsed in some areas… but if you look… those were the areas where it was very apparent she was carrying the McCain baggage. When it came to topics she is passionate about, such as education, she was on fire!

I am really looking forward to 2012 no matter what happens in this election. For the first time in a long, long time… this conservative has hope for the future of our country!

I was starting to wonder if Morris was getting ticked at Alan because he was starting to make the Democrats look really, really stupid. Morris and KP seem to be similar Democrats… they’re willing to concede some few ideological things that they agree with the Republicans about, and can even acknowledge a good debate performance… but Alan’s problem is the same as Obama’s… he has no humility. He’s probably never said he’s sorry for anything, and he can’t ever say anything nice about Republicans.

It’s an elitist thing, and you just wouldn’t understand…

I’d like to congratulate Morris for telling Colmes off.

His talking points seems to be gathered by an intern and most of the time they’re wrong.

I’ll never forget when a terrorism expert kicked his ass.

Colmes waved his paperwork above his head as a decree that it was set in stone but the other guy knocked his block off.

My guess is that Morris is fed up with the way the media is acting and Colmes just happened to be there when Dick exploded.

I did this with two lib friends of mine last night. About 5 mins into the debate I got a text from a lib girl saying how she was geniunely sorry for conservatives that McCain made such a bad pick. Since I follow news obsessively like all of you, I’m waaaay sick of those kinds of snotty as hell remarks by these enlightened crats. I absolutely went off on her. Same thing happened afterwards when a lib informed me that Biden ‘whooped that ass!!!!11′ I politely disabused him of the notion I respected his political opinions and apologized for creating the misunderstanding in the first place.

Not entirely fair reactions on my part, and probably a bit unfair on Dick’s part. At some point the frustration boils over and gets dumped on whoever happens to be standing there, whether they totally deserve it or not.

I walked down to the Fairmont to check out the scene and see if the Obama protesters were out in full force, as they were claiming on the O’s site. As I arrived, I noticed a large crowd in front of the main entrance to the hotel. It was at least 200 people. However, they were mainly McCain/Palin supporters. I overheard someone say that it was at least 3 to 1 in favor of McCain/Palin supporters. Personally, that number seemed a little generous for Obama’s protesters. I did see a few of the O’s people sprinkled in the crowd, but I had to look hard.

I caught it last night and thought Morris was a little over the top with Alan, he usually is. I don’t believe this is the first time he ripped into Alan. I don’t hate Alan like many do, in fact, I don’t take him seriously and ususally feel like he’s made to say some of the things he says and may yell at the tv and say shut up Alan but don’t get seriously mad. Morris appears to have a truely deep disdain for Alan that he doesn’t mind showing the world.

I though Sarah did good and am routing for her but to say she was brilliant and Morris hasn’t seen anything like this since Reagan was a bit too much to me.
