It believe it was when they were talking about what their roles as VP would be and Palin talked about taking on the specific tasks she and McCain had decided would be her role while Biden talked about how he would be with Obama in every meeting on every topic. It sounded, to me at least, that he was looking less to be VP then the Presidential Regent.

Did anyone else catch that or was just me?

I’m intrigued by your “scoop”. I know “that look”, for those who don’t know it, can be replicated to familiarize yourself with it. Just have someone unfocus their eyes like they do when they look at one of those “3-D” books or until they’re seeing 2 of you. That’s “the look” which sometimes is accompanied by a subtle slackening of facial muscles. Teach your kids to see it before they get into a car with a friend who swears they’re not drunk. It can save their life.

It’s interesting you say that. I was watching it online and couldn’t read facial expressions, not that it would have helped since the audio was out of sinc, but in the last third of the debate it sounded like he was slurring his speech. I wondered if he had been drinking or maybe had a stroke or something.

A couple of things about Biden: What’s with his eyes? Remember when Greta V. had her eyes done? Biden’s looked like that.

Face lift, hair plugs and teeth whitening. Actually McCain could probably benefit from that last one.

And you’d have to be a complete idiot to believe that Palin won that debate. Conservatives think that any Republican who can complete a sentence while drooling the typical conservative beliefs is a master debater.

Not this conservative. Here’s what concluded me to believe Palin ‘ate his lunch.’:

1. More often than not, she was on the offensive.
2. Body language. He seemed uncomfortable, fidgity, changing expressions, his appeals for dramatics, etc. She was all smiles throughout. I think this goes to show the confidence level of each; she was, he wasn’t.
3. His propensity to lie…
4. His incessant need to campaign against Bush.
5. I also found it noteworthy that his eyes were fixed on Ifill (as if looking for an ally to relate to his BS). Palin? the cameras. She was speaking to us. She was in her element.
Not exactly a recipe for success. She smoked him!
