Please quit saying that being a member of the PTA is one of her qualifications to be president.

It is one of her qualifications, if not a major one. Look, when Pat Robertson decided to jump into politics, he didn’t waste time running for governor or senator or representative or mayor. He went straight for the top job. I always thought that showed real bone-headedness. It’s not that there was some reason he couldn’t run for public office, but a moment’s thought should have told him that to strike for the top position the first time out would be a bad idea.

Palin by contrast worked her way up from the bottom. That’s a point in her favor, and a point of pride, not something to be embarrassed about. That she was once in the PTA helps establish her qualifications. The only way it would be an embarrassing claim is if that was her only qualification. But she’s also been mayor and governor and small business owner.

Certain people need to quit being embarrassed by her, and learn to appreciate her strengths.

The “experience” angle is for disengenuous people to hide behind; they lack the personal courage to state the real reasons they dislike Sarah Palin, so, they conjure up a lie and call it “lack of experience.” They truly dislike her because she is a real woman, a conservative woman and not a phoney.
