Gallup shows the race tightening to 4 which is frankly slightly encouraging (although it is with registered, not likely voters): http://www.gallup.com/poll/110881/Gallup-Daily-Obama-48-McCain-44.aspx

Fluke you say?

ABC/Washington Post shows the same spread (with likely voters): http://abcnews.go.com/images/PollingUnit/1074a2PostDebate.pdf

Still, this is going to be tough. McCain has an uphill fight to win this thing. It is not lost yet, but he cannot afford any more mistakes. In a lot of ways it is Obama’s race to lose at this point.

Ask Pete for all to hear, what really happened with prop 187, please and he probably knows as well as anyone what the actual amount is that Californians pay for illegal alien occupation.

At the time, I really didn't think Wilson was anything special. A good guy, but nothing extraordinary. Now I would give anything to have another governor like him.

Schwarzenegger is gutless. He caved almost immediately to the Dems on raising the sales tax. The Republicans in the legislature stayed united in opposition and proved that the Dems would eventually give up. If Schwarzenegger had done the same we never would have went 85 days without a budget.

Pete Wilson was a strong governor, unlike Gray Davis and Arnold.

We needed Tom McClintock.

It sucks to be one of the 40,000 or so who pay the majority CA state taxes.

I will never forget the day protesters threw an orange at Pete Wilson. He caught it, shrugged, and threw it right back at them.
