I had not forgot. The difference is audience size and being asked the questions rather than reporting the questions.
Just a casual reading of memoirs of some of the great broadcasters reveals just how incredibly nerve racking making appearances can be. It takes several times.

However because of the videos you mentioned I have complete confidence she will easily make the transition if she gets the necessary time. That is what the left is trying to prevent.

If you look at Palin’s record she is obviously very smart and skilled. I have never seen the MSM so determined to discredit someone. They have pulled out every stop and make a major negative out of everything related to her.

The problem is that McCain and Palin have done nothing to prevent the media from savaging her. They gave Palin a crash course in talking points, then sent her out there to unfriendly media, causing her to make lots of goofy-sounding statements that made her look like a jackass.

I mean, Obama has done neutral media (Sunday morning talk shows) and friendly media, but his one and only “hostile” media appearance was O’Reilly, and while Obama didn’t melt down, he didn’t really shine either. And, Obama has been campaigning for President since practically 2004!

Sarah Palin needs to kick ass tonight for her own political future. Her national brand has been destroyed almost beyond repair. This is her last chance. Win or lose come November, she needs to own Biden to restore her reputation. So, she better bring her A game; giving evasive, goofy answers to questions, accusing Ifill of bias in the debate (as many have suggested she do), and trying to goad the Gaffemaster into saying something dumb are not enough now.

Something to think about when viewed from a world perspective…

Couldn’t disagree more! We need a President who takes bold steps, sets a direction and gets things done: that’s why Senators make lousy Presidential candidates! Legislators are conditioned to tolerating interminable arguments which are never resolved, and a mushy environment where constructive action is the exception and the goals are never clear.

I want Palin to win: McCain will make a great Vice-President.

If she says “reign in” one more time I am gonna flip off my chair.

It’ll actually be “rein in”, like she might do with a team of dogs pulling a sled, which might be tough to do in the rain. If she and Mac do a good enough job, they’ll get to reign in January.

I’m glad you highlighted that quote. I just about spit out my beer when I heard that. It’s the best damn thing I’ve heard on credit crisis from any politician. I admit that I’ve had my ups and downs with Palin over the last few weeks, but there’s something “there”. She’s rough and needs some seasoning in the give and take of political interviews, but she’ll learn that. Her insticts are right on though and that’s something Obama and Biden are never going to learn.

+1 Here here! I think you will see a very independent Sarah Palin tomorrow night. She will set the bar as high and Biden will be marginalized further as a VP that supports the ticket. This will be a defining moment to say the least.
