Singing the new Gospel of the New Messiah; Update: NBC chief behind the effort? Update: NBC denies

I’m a little sick of the idea of using children to promote political positions and especially candidates, so I’m inclined to look at this kind of effort with a jaundiced eye under any circumstances. However, this video seems even creepier than most. Sing for Change brags about getting 22 children from 5-12 to regurgitate some execrable lyrics as though they had the first clue about the topic of the songs:
Very, very creepy. Leave the children out of it, please.
Update: Another paean to Dear Leader from the children:
Oops! Wrong Dear Leader.
Update II: Sing for Change’s website tells us who created this effort:
As Sunday approached, a neighbor volunteered a home. Production wizards got wind of the project and offered their help in recordingit. The likes of Jeff Zucker, Holly Schiffer, Peter Rosenfeld, Darin Moran, Jean Martin, Andy Blumenthal, and Nick Phoenix rearranged schedules to participate. Holly Schiffer was able to get three High Definition cameras (Panasonic HVX250’s), and an AVID editing facility. When Jeff Zucker went to pick up the camera package, Ted Schilowitz happened to be there and offered a RED camera set up on a SteadiCam.
“Production wizard” Jeff Zucker appears to also be President & CEO of NBC Universal Jeff Zucker. At least David Zucker (apparently no relation) sticks with adults for his political work. Will Sing for Change get its own variety-hour special next?
Update III: NBC denies this is the same Jeff Zucker:
“It’s a different Jeff Zucker,” wrote an NBC spokesperson to Politico.
Fair enough. However, this Jeff Zucker has access to an expensive, professional studio quality stereo microphone set and enough cash for an expensive full-color 3′x5′ original Obama poster behind the children, plus a pretty nice camera.
Update IV: Bob Owens notes that this Jeff Zucker appears to be a Hollywood gaffer, with a credit on Boogie Nights. Great movie, by the way, but Wonderland was more factual.

Dem #2: I know! By the way, let us gather together on Sunday with our 5 year olds to teach them songs about a political leader.

I’ve been waiting for this one too…hot topic everywhere. With any luck, every American will see this, and most will react the way we all have.
Beyond creepy. Way beyond.
And the connection to the NBC Universal guy is a nice touch.

Rush has already nailed who produced this -read his transcripts today. Just nails it – Hollywood produced……nothing spontaneous about it.
Rush also just creams the bailout. Great commentary and articles to put the bailout in perspective.

This brings back memories to my parents who were singing the praises to “El Commandante” Fidel Castro before class begins in Cuba.
Very sick. Indoctrination of children at such a young age. What the hell is going on in this country?
Now I am seeing more socialism than ever before. The bailout, t-shirts of Obama’s face a la Che, children singing Obama’s praises, and Cuban flags with Che’s face on it hanging in Obama’s political offices, Obama’s envy of China, etc.
Wake up America!!

We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me

I thought I read the other day that someone already did a bust of Michelle Obama for the White House – to go with the already done portrait of her husband, I guess.
I can’t believe what we’re seeing. Even harder to believe that no one seems to be able to stop it, or even slow it down.
John McCain is the only man who can save us from this fate. Will he do it?

Every time I find myself thinking that Obama is running for Duce and not President I wonder if I am going the route of the Kos kids toward Obama derangement syndrom. Then the Obama crowd produces something like this video and I wonder maybe I am not becoming deranged after all.
Now, I would like to see some our usual Obama worshiping crowd show up to defend this. Bayam? Ryall? where are you?

They could have the Mr and Mrs. Pelosi, Mr. and mrs. Dodd, Mr. and Mr. Frank, et. al as presenters.

I love Rush – been listening faithfully to him since the debut of the current show in 1988.
Rush is an articulate, eloquent, entertaining shepherd who, these days, sings only to his flock of 20 million listeners – only a third of whom will follow him to XM satellite when talk radio is abolished after Obama becomes
chancellor of the galactic republicpresident of the U.S.His show has become a vanity echo chamber. It no longer matters.

Get ready for the new Bolsheviks. The United States of America as we once knew it is about to disappear. When Obama and his socialist party take over there will be no problem with the capitalistic free market . . . because there won’t be one. Unfortunately, this great democratic experiment had only a short run and its light will soon fade to black.

jp on September 30, 2008 at 2:51 PM
Pasalubong, we are detecting that you are not 100% on board with The One’s plans for change. Buying stock in companies is part of the greedy capitalist system that has gotten us in this mess. But do not worry, after you have gone through the process of understanding what His Obamaness stands for (we like to call them reeducation camps) you will be able to apply for a position in one of the statue making factories. You may have to start at the bottom rung, such as sweeping floors, rather than the privileged position of making statues of our President for Life (and aren’t elections just really messy, thank The Obama we’ll be done with those things). Don’t worry, after about 20 years you may be able to work your way up.
And don’t try any funny business, we’ve already traced your IP address.

LITTLE CRUMBCRUNCHERS WITH SKULLS FULLA MUSH
While I agree and it would be AWESOME, McCain and Rush sadly see too differently and unless Maverick pulls a complete 180 and actually becomes a TRUE Conservative, it’s more likely to lead to nothing more than infighting.
Now, PALIN and Rush…. :D
I disagree… when you can claim that both campaigns during an election cycle listen to your show, when politicians cite you as the greatest threat to their place whatever it be, and countless other notations both positive and negative I seriously find it hard to believe that you “no longer matter”.

This is quite possibly the most frightening thing I’ve seen yet. It evokes memories of the Hitler youth, or korean kids singing praise to “Dear Leader.”
Sometimes I think I’m in some sort of sick, twisted dimension, stuck there until pulled back to reality by the same unknown force that spun me into this warped alternate reality in the first place.
