Can we get a troll filter here - one where we add usernames to a list such that their posts did not appear? e.g. Click on user "Rywall" and add him to an ignore list. I swear it would save me so much time - it would reduce some posts to about 8 commenters.

Look what has happened to NR. It is not what it was and is on the path to irrelevance.

One other note to the person who told me never to mention William F. Buckley and George Will in the same sentence. These two men were dear friends. When WFB died, George Will wrote one of the most poignant eulogies to him I ever read. I truly believe that Buckley would be saddened to see what is being said about George Will on these pages.

Glynn, exactly! What’s the point in trashing Gov. Palin? The liberals are doing a fine job of it.

If one is not keen on Palin, perhaps it would be best not to comment or to do so in a constructive manner.

Parker lives not too far from me. I found that article to be somewhat surprising. Normally people around here tend to reserve comment if they disapprove rather than going for the jugular.

The criticism simply seems excessive to me at this point.

Why should anyone keep their opinions on Sarah Palin to themselves. I am not talking about the trashing of Sarah Palin. I am talking about real concerns. Are we not allowed to have them and to voice them. Well, apparently not. I have never trashed Sarah Palin. I abhor the name calling that occurs on the boards I visit, including this one. I don't do it, not on either side. Kathleen Parker's column today, and Peggy Noonan's from several months ago say exactly what I feel. If you do not tow the party line 100%, you simply cannot be a "real conservative" thus you are savaged by those of your own party. How very sad.

Where are the Obama's State Senate Papers? Oh yeah, he burned them! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (oh, just another racist phrase). Where were Bill Clinton's Arkansas foreign policy position papers? Where were John Edwards' foreign policy position papers in his LLC? Where are Obama's domestic policy position papers, like funding marxist reeducation centers for kids k-12? Or how about the joys of working with unrepentent domestic terrorists and trotskyites for political advancement? Expect to see those documents anytime soon in your local LMSM?

As Donald Rumsfeld would say, George Will’s comments about Gov. Palin were ‘notably unhelpful’

Or even Chirac (Un Ver!) "Will missed an excellent opportunity to shut up"

Oh and "ManlyRash"? You cracking on someone else's nick was an LOL moment, for sure. (They make ointment for that, you know...)

Oh, try the all high minded and clean and articulate crap on me now troll.
You sound like some pointy headed college professor who thought 0Bomber desreved summa cum louder because he is the right skin color and tried hard.

Yet you come on here and bash a Governor with real experience, real reform, real change, a real record, an 80% approval rating from her constiuents and expect to get away with it.

Perhaps you elitist snobs don't like the way she talks? Perhaps you don't like her leavin off the g's on her words? Well she is just like some of us, a citizen not an insider, a reformer not an ass kisser!

Have you ever heard your candidate in front of a black audience leavin the g's off and more, or without his teleprompter? Er, Ah ERRR, AHH , Like I said, Like I have always said , right before he lies his ass off?

Listen next time he shows up at the rodeo with his teleprompter and then again when he doesn't have it and tell me the guys not a vacuous, emopty suited, phony!

Did Koos send you over here on the last open enrollment to spew your crap for the One who would drag this country further into the sewer?

"I will not question Sen. Obama’s intelligence but don’t you think two autobiographies before you are fifty is just a wee bit arrogant? "

Especially when he writes that parts of his Autobiography contain composites of many people and situations. Some autobiography.

This from an 0B0mber supporter? You dare ask about position papers and view points? You who support the ultimate Manchurian candidate who mostly votes present so as to disguise his own true self. Who has no published thesis from all that time in a college he was not even qualified to attend?
dhunter on September 30, 2008 at 9:22 PM

Comic isn’t it? You are looking at the bread-and-butter strategy for the left: Take your biggest weekness, project it onto you opponent and make it you main line of attack.

neuquenguy on September 30, 2008 at 9:28 PM

A very true observation that we should take advantage of. Whatever the left accuses you of is almost certainly something they're guilty of. They accuse Palin of being unready for the presidency. Guess what is Obama's biggest weakness.... They accuse the Republicans of "Republican dirty tricks. Guess who depends the most on dirty tricks, smears, and "October surprises." They are always looking for Republican scandals. That is the single biggest indicator that they're hiding scandals themselves.

Comic isn’t it? You are looking at the bread-and-butter strategy for the left: Take your biggest weekness, project it onto you opponent and make it you main line of attack.

A very true observation that we should take advantage of. Whatever the left accuses you of is almost certainly something they’re guilty of. They accuse Palin of being unready for the presidency. Guess what is Obama’s biggest weakness…. They accuse the Republicans of “Republican dirty tricks. Guess who depends the most on dirty tricks, smears, and “October surprises.” They are always looking for Republican scandals. That is the single biggest indicator that they’re hiding scandals themselves.

I agree that Shep Smith is too dramatic. Seeing her interviewed by Brit Hume would be awesome though.

So let me get this right. You feel Sarah Palin is unqualified to be the Vice President because of her lack of experience. Yet you feel Obama is qualified to be President? He has no more experience than Palin, and at least Palin had to be an administrator and executive with a budget in Alaska. Obama has ZERO executive experience. He has always been an activist or a legislator.

As for the books by Obama, it is easy to write fiction and make it sound good. Both of the books by The One have been roundly criticized for his liberal (excuse the pun) use of literary license.

I haven't watch the Couric interview but she was good on Hugh Hewitt. I got the impression she will be doing the rounds with the rest. I don't think this was a third interview, just an unseen portion of the same one. Many said it was better than the previous. I don't want to see her with Shep Smith, he drives me crazy with his overly dramatic style.

Why are we legitimizing Katie Couric with all of these interviews? Regardless of how much I like the woman, these interviews have totally sucked. Someone get her to go on Mark Levin or do an interview with Shep Smith/Brit Hume/Chris Wallace.

"Liberal media bias"...blah blah blah..."condescension"...blah blah blah..."let's give Couric a third inteview!!!" Her response on Biden giving speeches since she was a kid was disingenuous and lame. Look at Couric and just say, "Can't you take a joke?" Or even, "Well, the point was that Biden has been doing just that; giving speeches. John McCain has been doing quite a bit more than that."

She better glow on Thursday dammit!

Darlin, you had me until "intensive scrutiny". Really? Are you kidding me. Sen. Obama has an abundance of lip prints on his hindquarters from almost every media outlet in the U.S..
