No, it was the aged, hard-of-hearing Emily Latella [sp?] who misheard phrases and ended with, “Never mind,” often followed by “bitch” to Jane Curtin. Roseanne was the extroverted Italo-American who would create analogies using her childhood to goad the serious Curtin.

I should mention, per Fishbowl, that his daughter asked not to be identified. Whether that complicates the ethical question, I leave for you to judge.

My judgment is that it makes the ethical question easier. If she didn’t want to be identified as his daughter, in no way should he be interviewing her.
