Slightly less tedious as b*tching about O'Reilly on two - seperate pages for just about 4 hours so far. But hey, cest la vie. Some like to whine about McCain, some about O'Reilly. And some, both. Whoo hoo.

This needs repeating. A friend of mine was telling me today how lately her husband (Republican) has been down on McCain, not very enthused about him. It’s hard when all you hear is the same MSM beatdown every day.

In this day and age when information is so readily accessible (through the internet, cable tv, and talk radio) he should go gather the news he needs to keep properly informed and exercise his power as a consumer to not consume the bull that the MSM is shoveling.

Not so rare in my eyes, look at the View- most of the people on there are losers and has-beens. Then there is Bill O’Reilley… I am sure I could think of dozens more if I was not at work. Look at radio as well and the list grows fast!

In a strange way I can understand Letterman’s angst. After all, McCain said he canceled because had to go to Washington. And then they cut to a live shot of McCain with Couric in a different studio? If I were Letterman I’d be a little grumpy too. Why did McCain do the Couric sit down but not sit with Letterman?

(or am I gullible and did they roll tape of a diffferent interview just to poke fun?)

Stupid Pet Tricks was way funnier than just plain stupid. I’ve always been surprised by people who think Letterman’s funny. He’s about as funny as a sixth grader sitting at the back of the class making fun of the other kids. It’s the same level of intelligence and humor.

Man, I miss Johnny Carson.

Dave praises John for being a hero then rips him a new one for not showing up on his uber-important show. It’s too bad that Dave wasn’t available to be McCain’s campaign advisor.

Letterman’s been coasting for about 20 years now. Every few years or so I’ll catch an episode and it’s the same junk. What he did to McCain here was unprofessional. Letterman has done some good things–he’s visited the troops, he said some nice words after 9-11–but those good things are far outweighed by the crap he puts on the air each night.

I dedicated his block as “Big Apple Corner” in 1997 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Apple), after New York’s nickname, “the Big Apple.’ I’ve never been invited to be on Letterman’s show–the same show that will broadcast meaningless skits such as “Is this anything?”
