Video: Palin lookalike getting hate mail too, of course
posted at 9:50 pm on September 23, 2008 by Allahpundit
Of the crime of being a brunette with glasses who wears her hair up, she stands guilty as charged. Has it come to this, my friends? Has Palin-hate now metastasized to the point where merely looking like her is sufficient to warrant nasty voicemails? Or is this actually a case of fanatic Palin supporters haranguing this poor woman for not being the moose-hunting superheroine she should, by all rights, be?
It seems cruel to tease you with imitation ‘Cuda without a dose of the real thing, so below this vid you’ll find a quickie segment about Palin’s foreign-policy whirlwind today. They almost managed to conceal the snark.

If Obama wasn’t such a lightweight, McCain could not have picked Palin. All the criticism against her regarding experience just always goes back to Obama. I know this has been said before, but it’s not just that Palin could not have picked if Hillary was VP, but Palin could not have been picked if Obama was not P.
TTheoLogan on September 23, 2008 at 9:55 PM
What void in her resume’? It couldn’t possibly be a big as the one between both Begala’s and that so-called Republican Strategist’s ears.
AubieJon on September 23, 2008 at 9:56 PM
And OBAMA is trying to accuse Pubs of guilt by association? Geez, the Dems don’t like it if you LOOK like a Republican.

Palin managed not to say something stupid, like FDR appearing on TV after the Stock Market crash. What do y’ say.
silverfox on September 23, 2008 at 9:59 PM
I’m really looking forward to Couric asking her objective questions, such as:
-Who is the budget director of Kagoshima Prefecture? Who fills that role during volcanic eruptions?
-What kind of dinosaur was Dino on the Flintstones? How many years ago was the show filmed?
-How many baby seals have you personally clubbed?
fiatboomer on September 23, 2008 at 9:59 PM
The left doesn’t know quite what to do with all that hate that keeps boiling over.
jgapinoy on September 23, 2008 at 9:59 PM
She is a GOVERNOR for crying out loud. What the hell has Obama done that was beneficial for America? Palin is running a state, Obama is running a massively funded yet out of control political campaign with more advisors than we can count.

Considering that the libs would like nothing better than to see all of us wearing identical North Korean-style quilted suits and trudging off in unison to work the collective-farm paddies, this anger of theirs towards someone who resembles Palin is quite extraordinary.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on September 23, 2008 at 10:05 PM
In case anyone missed it in other threads and for the benefit of certain trolls who may crawl into this thread I offer the following apologia pro Vulpes lagopus:
Okay, so what, exactly, has Sarah Palin accomplished?
Let’s see now…city councilwoman for 2 years; mayor for 6 years and president of Alaska Conference of Mayors; Chair of Alaska Conservation Commission; appointed Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from which she soon resigned in order to expose corruption among members of her own party; governor of a state that produces 20% of our national energy during which time she has replaced the entire Board of Agriculture and Conservation because of conflict of interest, passed a landmark ethics reform bill, used her veto power to cut budgetary spending; C-in-C of the Alaskan National Guard; negotiated a pipeline contract with a foreign power.
Clearly not qualified enough to be president. Oh wait…she’s running for the office of vice-president.
Gosh…how can this ever stack up against the impressive resume Obama has acquired over the years?
Let’s see now…Saul Alinsky-inspired “community organizer” who worked closely with the demonstrably corrupt ACORN group; questionable ties to the corrupt Daley political machine and unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers; 20 year-long membership in the church of an America-hating racist; shady real estate transaction with a convicted felon; got elected state senator in 1996 by using technicalities to clear the ballot of opponents; served in the part-time state senator job for 7 years, voting ‘present’ over 140 times; U.S. senator since 2004 after his opponent dropped out of the race; since 2006 has been actively campaigning for the presidency of the U.S.
And they say the PALIN candidacy is a joke?! Obama isn’t even qualified to be the vice-president…but he’s running for president. Yikes.

The only slip I’ve heard from Palin was when she referred to a Palin and McCain administration, and that never got traction as a gaff. OBiden is a laugh a minute.
AubieJon on September 23, 2008 at 10:08 PM
If Palin ever gets the ‘baby seal’ question, she should retort by asking Couric why her ratings are so crappy?
Bishop on September 23, 2008 at 10:10 PM
Hey, I know that lady! Considering WVII’s ratings, they could use the exposure. Still, this does show the nastiness of the Maine moonbat.

All these Palin impersonators getting work — see, Sarah’s already helping the economy. That ingrate Tina Fey only wants a short-term gig, but she can be replaced.
I hope they feature Kissinger on Best Week Ever because, seriously, this is the most exposure he’s gotten since the Ford administration. He better get back to his undisclosed location before Hitchens sees him.

PappaMac on September 23, 2008 at 10:26 PM
I saw a story about that at Lou Dobbs, I think.
Something like 30 or 40 percent are illegal alien subprime loans…
My question, what’s the difference. We already pay for anchor babies, food stamps, subsidized housing, healthcare, for illegal aliens. Why not pay for their houses too!
Obama wants amnesty, McCain wants amnesty..no difference, even if McCain says “secure the border”. He also said that he “Got It” when we crashed the phone banks and said no to amnesty. Now, he is selling his pathway to citizenship for God’s children. We think we are in trouble now, wait until the leaches can apply for benefits as American citizens.

My first criticism of Palin: Wasting time meeting with Kissinger. I remember in the early 80s my boss coming back from a meeting where Kissinger tried to spew his defeatist garbage to Reagan. Reagan just turned to the aide taking notes and said there was no need to prepare a summary since it was a waste of his time. He said no wonder we lost so much ground between Kisinger an Brezinski as presidential advisors on the cold war. The next week I was off on my first courier run to London and Vatican City.

Barely. The moonbats who hate the news anchor because of heer resemblance to Sarah Palin suffer from PDS and are simply deranged.
A racist, on the otherhand, denigrates other races because he or she believes that they are intrinsically inferior, malignant, or somehow odious. For example: Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton – to name a few.
By dint of a curious coincidence, the first two are friends of Obama.

I enjoyed your excellent summation of Sarah Palin’s brilliant accomplishments, credentials, and qualifications. She is yet young and expanding and manifesting, and it drives the loony left batty!
They are pulling their hair out, spewing their vile rants and bile as if they are suffering some form of epileptic seizure style of rabid, foaming at the mouth psychotic episodes.
Regarding Barrak “the Scowling Snob” Obama’s abilities and credentials, I don’t think he would eve qualify to run as Rattle Snake Wrangler in Arizona!
William2006 on September 23, 2008 at 11:51 PM
No! Google Fail.
The person you have identified is the Chairman of General Affairs for the Kagoshima Institute of Industrial Technology. The actual prefectural budget is the responsibility of the Deputy Governor, Minoru Wakita (脇田稔).
And with that, I officially submit this post to Allah and the Captain as the most useless comment in the history of Hot Air.

twoarmman on September 24, 2008 at 12:38 AM
Thanks, CC.
Hopefully that gives you a glimpse into the PUMA mindset. I don’t mean to say I am voting for Sarah Palin because “SHE IS A WOMAN!!!” I genuinely like Palin on her economic philosophies and she is very likeable as a person as well.
It’s to draw a parallel on the sexist nature of the Obama campaign. The Democrats are not the party of women (or, by extension, “queers” like me), but rather of a lot of junky rhetoric.
If I can pull those sexist images I used toward Palin for my video after less than one month of being on the national scene — and compare them to Hillary who has been on the national scene for YEARS — what does it say about the Obama crazies?
Point is: country first. America first. Americans first. Obama wants to play identity politics? His surrogates want to play them too? Let them.
They will lose!
But I really appreciate your understanding of what we Hillaryites endured in the Primary. It needs to be said, and hopefully my video addresses both aisles.

My favorite part, honestly, is where Gerry Ferraro argues that the whole phenom is not “I won’t vote for THAT woman [Hillary],” but rather it’s this genuine anti-woman phenomenon across the board.
Sarah Barracuda is going to kill. I’m convinced of this.

The clinical term for it is Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS), a more severe strain of Bush Derangement Syndrome.
At this point I can only theorize, but I suspect that the part of the brain ordinarily responsible for rendering the mind immune to gross stupidity is somehow compromised by BDS and rendered useless, thereby leaving the patient with no natural resistance to PDS.
The symptoms of PDS at onset are remarkably similar to BDS, such as irritability, anger and the manifestation of a political Tourette syndrome. However, within 24 to 48 hours the clinical sequelae worsen as the pathology intensifies. Anger is supplanted by bouts of intensified rage and everyday behavior suffused with obsession over Governor Palin. At this point, a profound psychological transference begins to take place, as every negative aspect of the patient’s own subconscious becomes attributed to Mrs. Palin, including hate, envy, vindictiveness and even sexual deviance.
After two to three weeks, the patient’s mind succumbs completely to the pathology and the symptoms are unmistakable: blind rage and extreme paranoia manifest themselves in delusions of a coming fascist theocracy, visions of Mrs. Palin in Nazi stormtrooper accoutrements, etc. The patient is completely obsessed with Sarah Palin to the point that anyone even remotely resembling the governor becomes as target of verbal assault. As you correctly observed, the patient is in the grip of a profound psychotic episode.
In light of Mrs. Palin’s increasing popularity among normal, adjusted Americans and the fact that Mr. Obama’s overall poll numbers are in a slow decline, there is very real cause for concern that, in the event the McCain ticket prevails in November, many of these individuals will self-destruct.
Please be assured that we here at the Institute for the Study of Political Derangement Disorders are doing everything we can to ascertain the precise nature of this baffling psychosis and develop a treatment regimen that will enable the patient to return to a normal, productive life.
