Not only is this position astounding in its ignorance, it is also much more in keeping with communist philosophy than it is what I believe to be American philosophy.

I can tell you that as a scientist, ideas and thought are supposed to be the Holy Grail of all disciplines. There is NOTHING to fear from ideas and discussion.

How does Palin believing in creationism disqualify her? It means she is an idiot incapable of critical thought. Do you really want someone like that in the White House? Also, the lie about her wanting to teach creationism in the public school system is bogus too. That one was proven false almost two weeks ago. Unless she believes the dinosaurs are still walking the earth, I don’t see where her beliefs about dinosaurs matter one way or the other.

In fact, I can’t imagine a sillier reason to reject a politician. But I have faith in the stupidity of reporters in general, so there may yet be a sillier reason thrown out.
