Actually is a good point vis a vis voting on the economy.

Also, this shows why Obama’s is in pretty serious trouble. Clenis is one of the sharpest political minds out there, fast on his feet and able to size up a hostile situation and manipulate it quickly. And he got, at his best, 49% of the vote. Obama is a stutterer and can’t complete an original thought without hand-holding from a teleprompter.

I never in a million years thought I would listen to Bill Clinton and agree with what he had to say. He reminded people to think about their vote. He gave people permission to vote their consience. The snark from Bahar at the end was unnecessary.

OT, but can anyone explain how AOL has managed to avoid being overtaken by Obama supporters? Their straw poll has McCain with 63% right now. I think it has something to do with a lot of rural people using AOLs dial-up service, but even the comments are pretty McCain friendly.

Not my intention to feed the internet rumor mill, but I heard that she is, indeed, under the care of a psychiatrist – namely, Dr. Charles Krauthammer, who recently introduced a three part curative regimen for those suffering from PDS:

(1) Exorcism involving a high colonic using holy water;

(2) Shock therapy from static electricity generated by walking on polar bear rugs and touching a metal statue of John McCain;

(3) 500 mg twice per day of Palinol, an anti-psychotic medication recently released by the FDA for clinical trials.

He’s right about some of the reasons why people vote and why you still have to respect it.

BUT, I know he is saying it cause he’s gunnin for Hillary in 2012. I don’t blame him.

I would definitely want to whoop it up another 4 more years at the White House while President Hillary is off in Europe.

How long would it take the terminator to convince Elizabeth to join him for a night in the Lincoln bedroom? How long could she hold out?

Sapwolf on September 22, 2008 at 11:25 PM

And God, Elizabeth is hot. But that’s probably because she is with three other Uglo-Americans. Put her next to Megan Kelly and she goes from a 10 to a 4.

Sapwolf on September 22, 2008 at 11:27 PM

I loathed President Clinton for many reasons and felt intense relief when he, Hillary and his weaselly administration left the White House. But the prospect of a President Obama made me root for Hillary to win the primaries in the event, God forbid, that a Democrat victory in November was inevitable. I suspect that Hillary possesses enough ruthless self-interest to protect national security on her watch.

Still, it is odd to watch Bill on TV without my skin crawling or bile rising up in my throat. Anyone else feel the same way?

Terrie on September 22, 2008 at 11:28 PM

my mother told me the other day that she sent an e-mail to the View… she was miffed about some comment Joy made about small chested women being little boys… she’s quite upset about it… she said also that they’ve changed since the beginning and all it is now is a platform for bitter women to espouse their discontent…

jimmy the notable on September 22, 2008 at 11:34 PM

Look, don’t give The Clenis too much credit. He is simply parroting the basics of “Maslow’s hierarchy of needs” (It’s a basic lesson in training people to manage others). Basically it says that if a need with higher priority is met, you then move up to the next level of need/want.

And the converse is true. If you are satisfying a want and a higher priority need is lacking, you drop the want for the higher need.

Of course those cud-chewing cows wouldn’t understand that concept in it’s raw form. Hell, they barely understood it the way he spoon fed it to them. Did you see the looks of confusion and then when they figured out it wasn’t a euphoric recommendation for Oslime-a, they got immediately offended.

Bwahahahaha!!! What a bunch of transparent cackling hens.

csdeven on September 22, 2008 at 11:34 PM

McCain Loses His Head

By George F. Will
Tuesday, September 23, 2008; Page A21

“The queen had only one way of settling all difficulties, great or small. ‘Off with his head!’ she said without even looking around.”

– “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”

Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama.

Channeling his inner Queen of Hearts, John McCain furiously, and apparently without even looking around at facts, said Chris Cox, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, should be decapitated.

I also listened to it and I also agree with most above that Billy Jeff hasn’t ever sounded more cogent. I agree with much of his comment. And, yes, he probably pissed off most of the couch with the possible exception of the lovely Elizabeth. And, yes, he probably thoroughly checked her out. Several times. He’s human. And, also yes, he looked terrible. I’m two months older than he is and looking in my mirror, I can’t see any way I look THAT old. His many years of philandering and 8 years of the presidency have taken their toll. God bless him.

A McCain/Palin win will do much to heal our land. And REALLY piss off the couch!

Roger Brown on September 22, 2008 at 11:45 PM

more from clinton:

Bill Clinton said Monday he understands why Sarah Palin is popular in the heartland: because people relate to her.

“I come from Arkansas, I get why she’s hot out there,” Clinton said. “Why she’s doing well.”

Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin’s appeal by adding, “People look at her, and they say, ‘All those kids. Something that happens in everybody’s family. I’m glad she loves her daughter and she’s not ashamed of her. Glad that girl’s going around with her boyfriend. Glad they’re going to get married.’”

Clinton said voters would think, “I like that little Down syndrome kid. One of them lives down the street. They’re wonderful children. They’re wonderful people. And I like the idea that this guy does those long-distance races. Stayed in the race for 500 miles with a broken arm. My kind of guy.”

Palin, the governor of Alaska, became an overnight star when Republican presidential candidate John McCain tapped her for his running mate. Her family, including her Down syndrome baby, Trig, her pregnant 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, and her husband, Todd, four-time winner of the 2,000-mile Iron Dog snowmobile race, have garnered intense media interest.

“I get this,” Clinton said. “My view is … why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don’t we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?”

Clinton and Rove have been talking IMO.
