Biden on Obama’s e-mail ad: “I thought that was terrible”

posted at 8:51 pm on September 22, 2008 by Allahpundit
Share on Facebook | printer-friendly

Skip ahead to 4:05. For the second time in three days, Greasy Joe proves himself one of America’s most effective anti-Obama advocates.

I hope you appreciate his nuance, at least, in hinting that Obama didn’t approve an ad that ended with “I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message.” Exit question: Who’s surprised that Couric didn’t challenge him when he claimed that Obama never okayed sex education for kindergarteners?

I’m actually looking forward to the VP debate. Of course, Gwen Ifill is the moderator, but still…

The gift that keeps on giving. Hang in there till Nov 4, Plugs. We are counting on you!

Biden is like a big, goofy, greasy used car salesman. I’m sure he loves his kids and is a nice guy and all but regardless of how much “experience” he has I just find him to be ridiculous. It’s not even about ideology. He just seems like a silly, self important, weasel.

Well I think he earned Katie’s vote. “Are you worried you are going to have to pull your punches?” His answer was better then her question.

Spirit of 1776 on September 22, 2008 at 8:59 PM

Biden, “we can be straight out be ageist, and accept that people will discriminate based on age and we can mock a POW’s war injuries, nothing wrong with that”

How many people are not voting for McCain because of his age?

Is it the Same as people not for Obama because of his race?

———–

Only difference, Obama has played attack ads against McCain’s age and has mocked his age repeatedly on the campaign trail. (The liberal media as also done the same attacks on McCain’s age)

So, Obama needs to quit whining.

Smarmy Joe is smarmy.

Although I’m pessimistic about the Biden/Palin debate, if Palin comes out of nowhere to knock him across the room it will be one of the greatest moments in modern American politics.

Cheney only barely won that Debate again Edwards because Cheney is very good, he had the deck stacked against him it was 2 against 1 and Cheney still won.

Palin has the desk stacked against her, (Ifill and Biden Vs. Palin)
I believe it’s impossible for her to win.

Gwen hates Sarah and will be as moist for Biden as Jeanne Cummings of Politico was when she interviewed Thomas Frank: http://www.c-spanarchives.org/library/index.php?main_page=product_video_info&products_id=280212-1

I’m quite sure Gwen sees it as her duty as a woman, an African-American, a citizen, and a person of empathy to do whatever she can to embarrass, confuse, belittle, hurt, and destroy Sarah Palin and her candidacy.

Difference in degree, eh, Joe?

“Ladies and gentlemen, where are we now? Where are we now?” Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said to the National Guard Association today, talking about the war in Afghanistan.

“If you want to know where Al Qaeda lives, you want to know where Bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me,” Biden said. “Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down, with a three-star general and three senators at 10,500 feet in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are.”

OMG! I can’t believe he said this again! Jake Tapper reported this Uber-Gaffer Biden is characterizing his Bill and Teds excellent adventure in OEF as a “Forced Landing” again.

The 101st replaced my unit in OEF (Afghanistan) I still get e-mails from the aviation unit that’s there. That helicopter wasn’t forced down. The crews landed the helicopters because of bad weather. Weather the crews warned the good Senators about. They stated there was a good deal of command pressure from the VIPs to conduct the mission. So they got stuck in the moutains close to Bagram. I certainly wouldn’t back from where they landed, but it’s not like the Konar Valley or Helmant down South. They had to move the pax by ground vehicles the 10-15 miles back to Bagram, but those helicopters were most certainly not forced down. In our way of describing events like that, being “forced down” means either landing due to enemy fire or mechanical damage. Landing due to weather is a PL or Precautionary Landing. It wouldn’t be a big deal if he didn’t keep making it sound like such a life-threatening event. The real danger would have been punching into weather they had no business flying in.

IIMC in the Mountains = Bad!

Well at least biden is helping Obama with Pa voters:

http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/view/31023/pennsylvania_electoral_college_2008_x

Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are tied in Pennsylvania, according to a poll by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 45 per cent of respondents in the Keystone State would support either of the two senators, while 10 per cent are undecided or would vote for another candidate.

Oops me bad. He isn’t helping there either. Obam lost 4% in a week. The bad news McCain hasn’t picked them up yet. they moved from obama supporters to undecided.

I swear there’s a Republican ‘527′ with his name on it somewhere…

Whats with all the Ifill hate? I saw her on Bill Maher and she was the only not treating Sarah Palin like she was Forrest Gump.

Biden isn’t disagreeing with Obama’s ad. He’s triangulating!

charlesbird on September 22, 2008 at 11:41 PM

I’m starting to believe there really is a plan to get Biden out soon…but I don’t think in a million years Hillary would take the VP spot unless the hitman has already been retained…Why would she?

Here is the short version of the video.

That’s the one that gets forwarded (without all of the Biden propaganda).

By your admission, she appeared on that evildoer’s show.
BTW–you watch that crap?

To the extent she can carve out any spare time, Ifill is working on a book called “Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.” She focuses on the Democratic nominee and such up-and-coming black politicians as Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but I don’t hate her. I just don’t expect any liberal debate moderator (which would pretty much be all of them) to be fair to the Republican ticket. I hope I’m delightfully surprised.

I’m just gonna guess Ifill didn’t go after Palin on that show because she didn’t want to leave a trail of things people could point to, suggesting she had pre-formed opinions about the governor.
