I don’t understand how McCain can be behind in the polls, given the anger Obama has got to be inspiring.

Let’s ask the McCain Reform Institute how much money they have funneled to lobby the Senate Commerce Committee that McCain sits on and chaired twice. Let’s ask McCain’s campaign chairman Rick Davis what his lobbyist income was from Verizon and Cablevision when Mccain was chairman of the committee.

Okay let’s do that. I don’t think Obama really wants his record exposed and I think John McCain is fine with his record. So if the Obama folks want to start following the money let’s do that by all means…

We on this side will be the first to desert McCain if it turned out he was hiding something. We want clean government. But it has to be completely bi-partisan. And I don’t see how that will ever happen in this climate.

Has your side even once questioned Obama? You won’t even look at truth. We already have.

We aren’t afraid of that challange in the least!

But reality is that no one will ever examine Obama fairly. From what I have seen in the little tiny bits of inform ation that make it through the filter–Obama is more crooked than any that have run before him. So bring it.
But bring it fairly.

The use of the verb “belies” is extremely strong language…they have called Sen. Obama a liar.

Doesnt matter what WaPo writes…. To most Obamatrons, what Obama says is true even when he lies, and all that McCain says are lies even when its the truth.

The Obamatrons do not matter where these issues are concerned. We know how they are going to vote, no matter what.

Now, the undecided, independent voters are another matter. To those paying attention this information is poison for Obama. I sense another attack of panic is coming.

This kind of editorial is a run up to WaPo shocking the crap out of everyone and endorsing John McCain.

Not at all. This is a CYA maneuver in case, despite the MSM’s best efforts, McCain is elected.

The WaPoo editors know how Obama will treat those who have dissed him if elected, and are no doubt afraid McCain would do the same.

In 2006, (McCain) pushed for stronger regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — while Mr. Obama was notably silent.

…because Fan & Fred paid BO off with big campaign bucks.

The little white lies, the nuanced fibs, the lovers spats and the spins-in-place can be ignored by the MSM. When the lies become such whoppers that the blowback is going to stick on some journalists, and their recently written words, the rules of the game have to shift a bit.

Obama can keep talking about Phil Gramm all day long. McCain can point to Jim Johnson and Franklin Raines as Obama advisers. Obama will lose that conversation every time.

Only if McCain keeps talking about it, publicly, on TV, for weeks on end, and in the debates, as well as his own efforts to reform Fannie and Freddie in 2005.

I’ve got to hand it to the Washington Post for writing this, and McCain will need to jump on this opportunity using an ad. This will probably put Virginia solidly in the McCain column, but what are the swing voters in OH, PA, MI, and CO reading and hearing?
