Oh, and, by the way, they’re all self-made men who don’t need the stinking government in their lives – except, of course, for the above-mentioned bailouts, and the rich, lucrative, highly profitable, often no-bid, government contracts they land, for which they hire an army of accountants and attorneys to protect them from paying taxes on.

Then there’s the coup’s we concoct, the wars we fight, the lives we ruin, the people we kill, the US GIs that return to Dover in body bags, to protect the self-made capitalists’ private cash cows, all at taxpayer’s expense, you know, the ones that actually have to pay their increasingly burdensome taxes.

Ka-ching jingoism.

The Post is right and so is Raines: they called him to consult several times but he never consulted. So for McCain to say “he advised him on housing policy” is not, in fact, true.

No. Every southerner knows that the banker who is going to try and scam you is almost always going to be a white male in a nice suit.

I’m a southerner (born and raised in Virginia — in that part of the state that Andrea Mitchell referred to recently as “real redneck territory”). Tumulty and Gergen are both full of bull. There was nothing racist about that commercial.
