Video: Megyn Kelly rips CBC columnist for comparing Palin to “white trash,” porn stars

posted at 4:21 pm on September 18, 2008 by Allahpundit

Blogs were all over this 10 days ago, but better late than never. Here’s Heather Mallick’s column on Palin if you missed it at the time; it’s the single nastiest attack on her you’ll find this side of Salon. Bear that in mind as David Warren — who’s a conservative and who agrees with Kelly about the filthiness of Mallick’s smears, do note — explains that Mallick’s only saying publicly what his Enlightened pals in the Canadian media are saying privately. Unlike our own media, of course.

Note to Megyn: I don’t know who told you that Canadians have freedom of speech, but it’s time to get a new fact-checker. Exit quotation from National Post columnist Barbara Kay: “Mallick is a national embarrassment that we all have to pay for. I have found my election issue.”

Blowback

Hmmmm
Okay, I will watch the video now.
These are the types of positive posts we really need now.
Thanks.

Excuse me, but why should we care what anybody in Canada thinks? We protect them with our military and provide great jobs for their brighter citizens, while they trash our culture and rant about the War of 1812.

Isn’t that the agreement?

Any Canadians out there willing to expose the hypocrisy of the HRC by filing a much-deserved (under their own laws) suit against Ms. Mallick? What’s good for the gander (Mark Steyn and MacLean’s) is quite clearly good for the goose.

Most Canadians are sick and tired of the left wing CBC and the only program anyone watches on that network is the hockey games. Unfortunately for us tax payers up here, this money-wasted network is funded by our tax $, that explains why most of us pay more than 50% of income to the government. For those Americans who want the Canadian system, be prepared to double or triple your taxes and then wait for months before you can even see a doctor. Sorry for the ramblings, and I apologise to our American friends for this foul-mouthed “journalist” Mallick.

Ya know what’s great about women like Megyn and Sarah and Dana Perino? They know that those of us with testosterone poisoning think they are hot (and they are) but they also know that we respect their smarts, so they aren’t offended and are probably flattered.

Conservatives know it’s not a zero sum game, smarts or looks. The left-wing weenies don’t get it.

pugwriter on September 18, 2008 at 4:44 PM

Let me see, the two women side by side, who looks like a porn star? Well the one on the “left” looks like a whore. Is that the same as a porn star. Sister, Sarah Palin above everything else that makes her great, is more beautiful than you could ever hope to be. Are liberal women that catty that they can’t even make an objective political comment without using someones looks.

My God there is no end to the depths these “loving” liberals will go to. First, to me the term white trash is no different than saying (geez I can’t even type out the word, even amidst the minute by minute onslaught our party and in particular, Sarah Palin and her family are being bombarded with) but it’s no different than saying the N word. What would happen to someone if they said, well, B Hussein Obama has the N word vote sewn up. What would happen if someone said Michelle Obama dressed like a street walker?

I will tell you that something is going to snap. Those on the left will not get away with this. Crying about the least little hint of an insult and you demand apologies from everyone in the Republican Party as you low-life, trolls fill the world with your hate and venom.

hawkdriver on September 18, 2008 at 4:45 PM

We had white trash in the White House for 8 years. From 1992 to 2000. They took without giving. This may be off topic, but what does Jamie Gorlick know about mortgage financing that would be worth 60 million dollars? Was that the reward for the Gorlick wall that invited 9/11?

Canadian Smears

I’m Canadian, and I’m embarrased – but we’re in the middle of a very dangerous election here and Mallik’s vicious and dishonest attack on Sarah Palin is just part of a much wider problem.

The media here are at least as left leaning (and ill informed) as yours and what this election is most about is something you’ll recognize: states rights.

In brief, the two left side parties are selling a rape Alberta package to voters in central Canada. Steven Harper (our current and I hope future prime minister) is trying to sell honest government and doing reasonably well at it.

My speculation (No direct evidence!) is that Harper triggered the election a year earlier than he had to because he thought Obama would win the U.S. and have strong enough coat-tails among Canadians (and gloating media) to sweep the liberal/ndp coalition back into power.

What makes this dangerous is that the rape Alberta package is based on selling a carbon tax that will be payable by producers, not consumers – meaning that we’ll pay it, the feds will get the cash, and central Canada’s voters can punish Alberta for being economically uppity (!) while risking nothing of their own by voting for it.

All of this is, of course, being sold as responsible environmental change in light of human caused global warming – and that’s where Harper’s mistake about Obama hits the big time: to meet your Nov 4th date, he’s had to call his for mid October – a time when most of Canada will be enjoying the warmth of what the unreformed here are still secretly calling Indian summer.

Had he called an election for, say, late January: he’d have gotten a boost from McCain’s inaugaration – and the left would risk getting wiped out electorally by a cold snap or a snowstorm.

So why did Mallick attack Sarah? because building anti-Americanism hurts Harper, because the friends of her enemies are also her enemies, and because she thought the piece would appeal to her fellow travellers.

Paul Murphy on September 18, 2008 at 4:47 PM

The first step in my opinion? No workers come to the U.S. from Canada or Mexico unless they have a work visa/permit. And that includes truck drivers. And they must get in lines with other peoples of the world who want to come here and work.

Actually, Canada is America’s toque.

CBC radio does a decent job of entertainment programmes, but their political and ‘journalistic’ efforts are not worth the electrons they vibrate.

And on TV, well, in addition to hockey, I really do enjoy the Sunday afternoon curling. One can fall peacefully to sleep to chants of ‘Al-BER-ta!’, wake up an hour later, and know within about fifteen seconds just what has happened. Any sport featuring chicks with granite and brooms is surely worth one’s devotion.

And by the way, you can repeat your truther crtap till the cows come home, but you’re safe because this president didn’t care about the polls in this country or what people overseas thought. And they only care that the US is in a war, because he’s a conservative. Socialist Europe would have gone gaa-gaa over a liberal who had put the snack down of radical islam.

Frankly I rather appreciate Heather’s slutty patrician “come hither and look down my blouse” photo from 10-15 years ago. She looks much less alluring these days.

Otherwise her screed is worthy skimming for a laugh.

She and Maureen Dowd must have the same psychotherapist and are on each other’s speed dial.

Unfortunately for Heather, the alcohol-to-fugly ratio is so high it usually results in unconsciousness for the male.

Ahhh, ye olde “beer pass-out safety factor”! I remember well:)
