I’ll appear on the Bill Bennett Mornings show today at 8:05 AM ET.  We’ll talk about the investigation into the termination of Walt Monegan as the Commissioner of Public Safety, otherwise known as “Troopergate”, by Sarah Palin.  Be sure to listen to the show in your market or through the Round Table membership.

Update: Bill was tremendously gracious (as usual), and I had a great time on the show.  Here’s the audio:

breaking news:

At least 10 people have been killed in a car bomb and rocket-propelled grenade attack on the US embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.

otherwise known as “Troopergate”

As Rush said yesterday, we need to start referring to it as “Tasergate” to make sure people realize one of the many reasons why the trooper was fired.

Yes, make sure you mention it’s Tasergate, Ed, and mention the Patterico post on the term’s genesis. Way to go, TeflonDad.

I don’t believe the trooper was fired, although Palin quite correctly thought he should be. Walt Monegan was fired, but it was for insubordination and had nothing to do with the nutball trooper.

Trying to listen to this on the radio but the reception is horrible in my neck of the woods…

Kudos, Ed!

Dr. Bennett and the Captain … what a great morning!

I don’t get reception at home, so I had to listen in the car, but it was worth the drive (even with gas at $4.09 today)! It was good to hear a factual, intelligent account of this non-story; kudos to both the host and the guest.

Nice surprise this morning Ed. Ya done good!

I bought and read both volumes of “America, the Last, Best Hope”. It wasn’t until near the end of the second volume I realized how intellectually dishonest Bennett is. He cowered in the face of possible disapproval and used the phrase “the N word” instead of the word. This was a book, for Pete’s sake! Not an on-air comment…that I could partly understand, but not this. Gross cowardice. No more Bennett books for me.
