What else could be expected from Binden?

After all he made the famous 7-11 comment and doesn't even recognize the racism in it.

The Dems are so full of them selves they don't see the racism in their comments.

BTW, didn't Obama's campaign ban Black people from the stage behind "The One" at campaign stops?

That's racist too!

Palin got where she is by herself. Not a soul in the world helped her get that V.P. nomination.

Sorry but this was hilarious. So Palin chose herself for VP?

No, only a racist would say that a graduate of Harvard Law, state senator and federal senator has made it this far solely because of the color of his skin. It just irks me when conservatives throw his words around when he himself was anything but conservative.

crr6 on September 15, 2008 at 12:26 PM

Allow me to address if I may:

Harvard Graduation: The state that academia is in is disturbing. Graduating from Harvard may look great on paper, but ANY STUDENT OF ANY UNIVERSITY STUDYING LAW has an equal opportunity for excellence regardless of the ivy league status of the university.

You may argue apples and oranges on this point, but the top 10 IT engineers and research persons across the world went to common, regionally accredited schools, one doesn't even have a degree. None of them went to MIT, or some school of equal reputation.

State Senator: Obama had votes purchased for him via his hatemongering network of Black Lib. Theology pastors and crooked real estate associates in addition to domestic terrorist organization links.

U.S. Senator: See above. Add 140+ "present" votes.

Only a realist would say that Obama has gotten where he is by a combination of the following: He cheated. He's become the DNC's puppet, the media put him on a pedestal, and he's black.

Deal with the facts, leftie.

McCain got where he is because he's a P.O.W., because he worked with Reagan, and because he has taken a few shots at his own party. He's made quite a few personal mistakes in his life, but generally he's worked for what he has.

Palin got where she is by herself. Not a soul in the world helped her get that V.P. nomination. She's popular now because the media has ravaged her and her family, while they've made every attempt to sweep, mop, wax, and buff the yellow brick road for Obama.

You have a piss poor argument, friend.

Isn’t saying “vote for Obama because he is black” just as racist as saying “vote for McCain because he is white”?

Barack says the economy of G. Bush is the worst since the depression.

Poor Obama, the economy is really bad and he lives in a racist country. He only raised 66 million dollars in September. If the US wasn't racist and poor he would have raised 660 million. Poor Barak, every one say AWWWWWWWWW.

Maybe after working with Obama Biden can see that he is a disaster in the making and really is trying to alert his party. I mean, the Hillary is better, and now this? Maybe Biden is a true patriot and hopes this will put McCain in office.

Really, why? Were his words “code” for some other purpose, or do you think that he didn’t really mean them as they have been interpreted?

Jaibones on September 15, 2008 at 12:43 PM

I think people (conservatives) misinterpret his words in that speech. They see it as some sort of invalidation of any consideration of race.

P.S. For the record and Mr. Biden’s information, Barak Obama is multi-racial, not black.

highhopes on September 15, 2008 at 12:10 PM

Careful. If you go by that criteria, most self identified "Blacks" aren't black.
Most of the population has at least some Caucasian ancestry--hybrids.

Yep, most Americans including myself would agree that Affirmative Action should be temporary.

40+ years into this "temporary" program and every effort to make it temporary is greeted with cries of racism. The fact is that too many people have a vested interest in its continuance. Affirmative action has become a way of life for many people and what's worse - a way of thought. Your very statement that it should be temporary would brand you as a racist in those quarters.

Yep, most Americans including myself would agree that Affirmative Action should be temporary. I personally believe however, that given the still stark inequalities between blacks and whites in income, education and wealth MLK would still support its use today. Of course that’s up for debate.

The "stark inequalities between blacks and whites" have absolutely nothing to do with racism. They are caused by rampant problems within the black community. Problems that so called black leaders refuse to address.

No amount of affirmative action is going to make up for any of them.

The first half of your post is all partisan cr*p,

Ah yes, the standard liberal line. Anything I don't agree with is cr*p.

I notice that you don't even try to respond to it. And we both know why. You can't.

Ed’s subtitle for this post (Gaffemaster) isn’t accurate. It’s not a gaffe when it’s done intentionally. Biden knows full-well what he’s saying.

Maybe after working with Obama Biden can see that he is a disaster in the making and really is trying to alert his party. I mean, the Hillary is better, and now this? Maybe Biden is a true patriot and hopes this will put McCain in office.

No, only a racist would say that a graduate of Harvard Law, state senator and federal senator has made it this far solely because of the color of his skin. It just irks me when conservatives throw his words around when he himself was anything but conservative.

Obama did nothing of significance as a senator. If he had waited to run for President and focused on accomplishing something, anything, maybe you would have a point. But do yu have any idea how many Havard grads there are? So what. No ne can claim that Obama is running on his record. So what is left? His ariculatness? His self-discovery books? What? Obama is the very definition of affirmative action.

And I'm not even that opposed to affirmative action in education, but this is too important to get sentimental. We need experience, this is a dangerous world that Obama has demonstrated he has no expertise in understanding.

At moments like this, one has to wonder whether Barack Obama regrets his running-mate selection. Going where Obama refused to go during his entire campaign, Joe Biden argued that voters in North Carolina should vote for Obama because of his skin pigmentation rather than his policies or accomplishments.

I want to be politically correct here,so I need some advice from my fellow bloggers here!My question,"Is it racist to say that Ophrah is looking more and more like Aunt Jemimah as she gets older and fatter?"Just thinking out loud!
