As I understand it, that is a locally famous cheese-steak shop that is very busy almost all the time. The English-speaking employees (they don’t hire illegals there) don’t have time to deal with non-English speakers and still provide speedy service to their customers. The owners admonition to “…please speak English” is meant to speed up the long lines AND as a mild rebuke to those who come to America to reap the benefits of living in the greatest country on the planet, but haven’t the time or inclination to learn our language. Pretty tame stuff over which to get your knickers in a wad.

Thanks for the grammar advice, Captain Illiterate. I’m not American, so there are a few differences in the way I spell things. It appears that it’s too difficult for you to grasp that there are other English speaking countries outside the US.

Russell has it tough, because he’s got to spend in two TV markets — the relatively inexpensive Johnstown-Altoona one, and the significantly larger and more expensive Pittsburgh one — to reach his entire district.
Next ad:
Get the audio from Abscam, on which Murtha skated. Play that over and over again. As I recall the quote, “Maybe we can do business later.”

Until people in his district are willing to part with his earmarks for that same district, good luck in unseating him. Going after him over the Haditha thing won’t be enough. It’s the earmarks (which has created many jobs and helped the economy in PA’s 12th district) which keep him in office. As a vet, I want him gone as much as anyone, but it’ll be very difficult. He feeds and clothes the people that elect him.
