NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! A thousand times NO!!!

I have said this before many, many times w.r.t. Bush and his administration.
I do not want my elected leaders engaging in the ultimate form of common pander by appearing on SNL or any other media fueled by our weak-minded popular culture.

I demand a respect for the offices sought by our leaders, and that begins with not acting like clowns and buffoons to entertain us. Stay off “The View”, stay off “Oprah”, stay off “SNL” , “E!” , or “MTV”.

Nod approvingly from the wings if you find it humorous, respond vigorously if you are slandered or smeared, but otherwise remain well-above the level of behavior that would only diminish the office that you seek.

and yes…. they need to poke some fun at obama!

Works fine for me, its not as if they made one look any better than the other.

But why does “Sarah” have her actual accent, and “Hillary” not so much???? Hmmmm, I wonder!

Gov Palin needs to take page out of the GHWB playbook. We all know how devastatingly funny Dana Carvey’s take on 41 was. out of this world funny.

Did Bush get his Yale underoos in a bunch over it? No. He turned goat piss into gasoline and made a friend of Carvey. Bush had him in the WH more than once, and invited him to Camp David as well. The two are still friends, and you dont see Carvey crapping on 43 or Laura or Baabs or the kids.

Sarah should give Tina Fey the full monty of girl-luv. This will be a no-lose situation: if Fey gets to know her and falls under the Gov’s spell of immense charm, it will be harder for SNL to relfexively slam her. If Fey gets the friend treatment, and it becomes known in the world of pop culture as it almost certainly will, SNL will look like classless asshats if they trash Palin unfairly.

SNL pulled every bit the hit job I expected.

Screw ‘em. Gov. Palin will laugh last, and, from what I understand, that’s the best laugh of them all.

I thought Palin would have gotten abused on SNL, but they nailed it with that skit. Fey did a great job.

And Tina, honey, Sarah looks good on you!

The first thing I thought was that she would get a chuckle from it. Strong, confident people tend to enjoy a good laugh at themselves.

Lisa Nova’s attempt is so completely lopsided, it is too stupid to be funny. In reality, Gibson in fact did NOT out perform Palin. So if Lisa Nova wants to hit the humor mark, she has to dish Gibson’s performance the same level of silliness as Palin took at Nova’s hand. But since Nova’s portrayal vaulted Gibson to the pinnacle of Lord Knowitall when Krauthammer proved Gibson’s professional ineptitude, it leaves Nova’s product in the shits.

As to taking puns with a sense of humor, all’s well and good so long as not much time is spent GIVING attention to the wrong topic (Got Lipstick?), stuck on stupid ignoring major occurrences in the world. Lipstick, on its own merit, ain’t gonna get anyone elected or not elected. People generally might laugh or grimace at a joke, but not likely determine life’s fate accordingly.

Current international and domestic catastrophes are always TO THE POINT OF RELEVANCE and need ISSUE ANSWERS from politicians. That so many people (Obama supporters) could be so dense as to accept “change” as a solution only proves our opposing responsibility to CLARIFY the choice between change(s) to either Lose Security/Gain Security.

REFINE THE TARGET SLOGAN: Keep it simple. It must simultaneously disprove Obama-Biden while proving McCain-Palin. Draw the cartoons. The best response to Gibson’s interview with Palin is the cartoon portraying his obnoxiously inappropriate attempt to stuff his ugly jargon into Palin’s mouth.

OBAMA, THE TROJAN HORSE can run as many times as Obama makes a promise; each illustration filled with either the vultures behind the promises or the specific American downfall to be experienced as a result of submitting to Obama.

PALIN, NOAH’S ARK. America is like Noah’s Ark, and the world is full of dangerous challenges. As a nation, the rule of law provides means to endure the storms and challenges that as a nation we must deal with in order to survive.
