I live in Minnesota. Saw the poll this morning in the Star & Sickle (Mpls. paper) – like I told the wife: “If it’s a tie here, then Obama is getting his (butt) kicked everywhere else in the country.

Purple Minnesota = certain victory for McCain on the national level.

Red Minnesota = landslide of epic proportions.

A new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll shows that the race is now a dead heat between Barack Obama and John McCain, each supported by 45 percent of likely voters in the state. …

Any “Red” Star poll seems to be biased about 5% to the Democrats, so it’s very likely that McCain/Palin is actually up 5% in Minnesota.

The Democrat attacks will sharply intensify in both ferocity and numbers it their attempt to stop the Republicans.

Maybe it was McCain’s support of amnesty for aliens that convinced Artesian voters that McCain was on their side.

Thanks to the rains here in the Chicago area, I’ve got a foot of water in the basement, sump pump is going all out, and not keeping up.

I’m going to have to shell out for another hot water heater once it does dry up – the burner box is totally submerged, and once that happens they’re supposed to be “unsafe” for some reason.

Such is the classy world of the left in Minnesota….

You have the $100,000 Hollywood extravaganza that ends up in divorce court a year later (Obama/Biden for the brain dead).

And then there’s the backyard wedding with the homemade goodies that lasts a lifetime (McCain/Palin for the clueless).

If Obama has to struggle to keep a lot of blue states, he won’t have that time to campaign in real battlegrounds. Awesome!

Add to that the fact that since Bambi eschewed public financing, he’ll have to spend additional time raising money while McCain/Palin can focus on GOTV events.
