The latest Sarah Palin smear from the Left: teen molester

Just when you thought the Left could not possibly sink any lower in their bid to smear Sarah Palin, Nova M manages to provide what hopefully will be the nadir of their efforts. Randi Rhodes of Nova M Radio told her listeners that she knows Palin’s type — the type that can’t be trusted with teen boys in the neighborhood (via Brian Maloney):
She’s the woman who shows up at the kid’s birthday party and starts opining about everything from politics to lawn care. This is the woman that knows it all. Will shout you down, will get revenge on you. That’s who she is.
She’s friends with all the teenage boys. You have to say no when your kids say, ‘can we sleep over at the Palin’s? No! NO!’
Rhodes recently offered the novel claim that John McCain got treated like a “prince” by his captors in North Vietnam. Apparently her separation from reality has accelerated with this piece of character assassination. There’s really no other term for it; she accuses Palin of being at least a latent child molester.
Even apart from that despicable accusation, the rest of Rhodes’ argument sounds strangely like projection. What does Rhodes herself do for a living? She “opines about everything from politics to lawn care”. Rhodes also acts as though she “knows it all”, including Palin’s sexual proclivities. If Rhodes finds opinion from strong women so offensive, maybe she should find another line of work. After this bit of lunacy, perhaps her employer should expedite that change.
Update: Rhodes is exclusively on Nova M, and has been for several months. She is no longer on Air America.

This actually brings a smile to my face. If there were anything at all to actually detract from Palin’s popularity among the republican base, they wouldn’t be spewing out so much filth. The last week of constant smears has been nothing but suppressing fire from the left. They know they probably won’t hit anything that matters, but they want to keep our heads down. What is it that liberals always do when they know they can’t win an argument? They loudly repeat talking points and shout down anyone in order to prevent the other side’s opinion or ideas from being heard.
I think it’s funny that simply reporting this woman’s words probably tripled the number of people who otherwise would never have heard of cared what she says.

PS: When I click Buzz UP, the Yahoo page comes up and prompts me to register. If I don’t register does my Buzz Up still get counted?

Being so “with it”, what does SHE talk about at such gatherings… All the abortions she’s had???

Let us hope that everyone that reads that is good looking and doesn’t consider themselves a feminist.
I might remind that Mrs. Palin describes herself as a Feminist for Life (which I am a member of). In short, I do believe that women are capable of anything they decide to do whether that is to be a mother at home or to be a working mom, in the military, a firefighter…whatever they are capable of, they can.
I say this for the benefit of those who are letting the same sort of disease that overcame the left when Palin was selected. The part where we immediate attack someone based on their gender.
I say that because one of the biggest swings in voters this year are women voters who are leaving Obama and leaning McCain. Women voters out voted all other demographics in the 2004 election and they are very likely to be an even larger part of the voter demographic this year.
Whatever anyone thinks about Palin, she has the most important factor going for her. She does look, act, think, and live as a very large part of the female population in america: Working women, married with children.
I don’t think I can impart to you how important it is to eschew any remarks that could be considered mysoginistic, even if it is against someone who is spewing egregious lies.
I say that as a woman who is supporting McCain/Palin and who has been reading and writing at AoS, Hot Air, LFG and many more places for years. These comments make ME uncomfortable. Largely because I see them as very bad advertising of a good message, but also because they are starting to become screedy and a little too spittle flecked.
Leave that for the KOS Kids.
I believe that we can find much more interesting and sophisticated ways to insult such a cretin as Randi Rhodes without them.
Kat_Mo on September 13, 2008 at 1:18 PM
This is exactly why McCain is going to win big in November. The Left is really going to turn voters off.

I predict more bumps up in polls today for McPalin.
ErinF on September 13, 2008 at 1:22 PM
I think that every woman that has been busted for sleeping with boys has been a teacher. What political party do teachers belong to? THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! I don’t believe for a second that conservative women have ever slept with any teenage boys. Conservative women have morals! Democratic women do not. It wouldn’t surprise me for a second if Rhodes slept with teenage boys herself…
This is a really stupid, sick and pathetic thing for anybody to say. It doesn’t surprise me a bit that this sorry excuse for a woman would say this. This is what liberals do. I can only pray that they keep it up so the rest of America and the world can see what the democratic party has turned into.

Kat_Mo- I too am a female and consider myself a “feminist” in that I want to be able to do what men can do. Rush is talking about “Femi-Nazis” his term- that is women that think no man is needed, you can only be a “feminist” if you have a D behind your name, wear pant-suits and denigrate(sp) women that want both a career and family. That describes to a “T” Randi Rhodes.

If I recall, Rhodes is on tape in the spring for an obscenity-laden rant against Hillary. It was vile; she was suspended by Air America for a time.

What is it about Obama that brings out the worst in his supporters?
Do these people say these type things on their own volition thinking that Obama would approve of their statement, comments and actions? Or is the Obama campaign loosely coordinating it?
And who are these type comments really aimed at? Are they aimed at Democrats? Is the Obama campaign keeping up these sleaze attacks because they are really afraid Obama’s demoralized base of liberal Democrats are thinking of either not voting in November or perhaps switching to Palin?

I’m aware of the total left wing, aging NOW membership being largely populated by the die hard, haven’t left 1968 feminists and of Rush’s comments on the subject. I am also aware of folks like Phyllis Schafly whom I respect, but who also represents the same contingent on the right. IE, hasn’t left the culture wars of 1968.
Frankly, neither of these groups really represent the 80 percent of women in the US today. See my earlier remarks on the largest demographic in the US that votes is working women, married with children. See: why Palin is a winner as a VP pick. Elections are about demographics. Not only does she hit the small government, social and fiscal conservative branch, she digs into the big, over all demographic.
Frankly, I believe she is also scary smart just in reading how fast she figured out the system in the Alaska government and played it against itself to smash it. As a VP, I realize that she won’t have that much power unless she is able to grab some of the Republican members of congress by the ear and get them to start whipping the others into shape.
She’s going to need people like Newt to spread the message and start getting the idea stuck in their heads about a Contract with America that these guys reneged on.
But it is going to be difficult if the Republicans are short in the House and Senate. They will need a much closer minority or majority to hold the line with McCain about open government and reduced ear marks. If they don’t, they will join with the Democrats and go to war with McCain on ear marks.
We are talking about messing with people’s power base; the money that they get and spread around at home for votes and for powerful friends with deep pockets. Do not think that Republicans or Democrats are going to give that up without a fight.
You think that these smears against Palin are all about Obama’s campaign or from it? If they do not bring Palin down to at least a common vice president before the election, they will know that she has popular public support and a bully pulpit to get the message out. McCain will be sicking her on them left and right. McCain promised to “make them famous.”
Frankly, the election is just one little battle. After this election? It’s war.

BDS has made the left so insane, they are forgetting they must hide who they are to get their politicians elected. Now that the left has acquired a severe case of PDS, the mask is off.

Ryan Gandy on September 13, 2008 at 1:50 PM
Because she thought her nephew shouldn’t be tasered? Because you know this thing is truly losing sight of what actually went on with that trooper.
A few days ago I saw interviews with the guy she fired. He said she did nothing wrong it was as she said. Then I saw the brother-in-law he practically endorsed her. Now… The Obama people have taken over up there and all kinds of stuff is being said.
I hope where ever I saw those guys interviewed remembers and can produce those interviews when the report comes out which is already pre-determined to be a huge lie and smear.
I saw what I saw. There is footage on one of the cable channels of both those men saying Palin’s version was fine. The trooper still didn’t like her but he said she would be a good Vice-President and he was moving on with his life. But now we hear a different story… How much did that cost I wonder.
