Examples: Sarah Palin took on corruption in Alaska – result: several people indicted and forced from office.
Obama worked as a community organizer to help with job loss – result: his community still lost more jobs.
Sarah Palin worked with Canada on a long-stalled gas pipeline to bring energy to America – result: a Canadian firm is going to spend 40 billion to build the pipeline.
Obama took a trip to Europe to meet with European leaders – result: nothing.

Similar contrasts could be run with academic achievements, earmarks, corruption, campaigns (Palin & McCain beat real opponents in an election: Obama used the Chicago machine to get his opponents disqualified so he never actually had to run against anyone), Leadership in legislature, Bipartisan leadership, problem solving, executive experience, ability to handle military affairs. As long as the Dems continue to shoot themselves in the foot by inviting Obama comparisons to Palin, use such comparisons. But at least a month before the election, frequently contrast Obama to McCain regardless of what the Dems do.

The John McCain 2008 Presidential Campaign is looking for volunteers who are willing to spend the final ten days of the campaign helping in a nearby state. Deployed volunteers will take an active role and participate in a number of Get-Out-The-Vote activities. These activities will include making phone calls, going door to door, recruiting volunteers, and assisting with additional campaign activities and operations.

These ten days will be unpaid and participants will be responsible for arranging their own transportation and housing. The campaign is unable to reimburse any expenses.

Did anybody see McCain last night praising Obama’s “accomplisments” as a political organizer (thereby becoming the thousandth person in a row to do so without actually listing even one of them.)

And in the process, he basically condemned Governor Palin’s acceptance speech. Sometimes I feel as interested in those actuarial tables as the liberals are.

BHO is a flawed man seeking to find himself through the approval of others.

He should be looking to find himself through the mercy of and sacrifices made by The (real) One, since he professes to be a Christian. I think Obama is still driving THAT bus. As they say at my church – “IF GOD IS YOUR CO-PILOT, SWITCH SEATS!”

Agreed. The debates are coming up and the public needs to hear what the 2 candidates stand for or against. Then they can hear the debates for themselves. I’ve heard “issues, issues, issues” from regular people around me who haven’t made up their mind yet.

I listened to that National Service forum last night and McCain is impressive. Obama still rambles trying to answer the question without actually saying anything. McCain can do this stuff in his sleep (wink). I have issues with him but having listened to him for the past 6 weeks, I am def impressed.

Now, he’s not licensed to practice Constitutional law before the Supreme Court either but — what the hay — those who cannot do, teach, or at least try to.

Live in NC on about 100 acres close to a small town 5 mi away yet close enough (25mi-35mi drive) to three major cities in NC. thus I got it pretty good each way. nightlife if I want it but peace and quit and of course freedom when I don’t.

Don’t overlook the Eastern part of the state. I moved to NC about 4 years ago from Calif. This state is awesome. What is fascinating is the acceptance of so many lifestyles in NC. I would have thought it was a “southern” state with narrow views, but not so.
Don’t have 100 acres, but 3/4 on a lake with large mouth is all I needed.

they aren’t they are trying to move on. Heard alot in the media today about Palin is a fun story but this is about MCain and Obama can we please talk about that. Look for the reps to continue to have Palin right next MCain so that the media is required to cover her.

They need to leverage from strength and use the opportunity contrast all the problems with Obama.

I day trade alot. have been out of the market for the last couple of weeks just too dangerous at the moment. went to all cash shorted the euro. Trades been working out good so far. Also have a “day job ” I work 40 hours on the weekend. Don’t think I could work 5 days a week for someone else. three days is enough. Enjoy my freetime too much.

lots of land still left in Nc. I live more in central Nc about half way between the MTS and the beach. It’s nice I do miss Western Pa at times. Miss the snow.
