Ed,
Thought you might find this interesting:
CNN is allowing another, possible democrat party operative to represent themselves as an “undecided, independent voter” in their so-called “mixed political” discussion focus groups. I’ve been taping coverage by CNN vs. Fox over the same events and issues for a class demo, when I noticed that the same woman appears in these “average and diverse undecided voter groups”. The first time I noticed her was immediately following the RNC convention during Cameron Brown’s show, but a week later, she appears again on the Lou Dobbs “Independent Convention”.
In Brown’s focus group discussion with “undecided female voters” this individual first declares that she is undecided, but later remarks that she is leaning towards Obama. Her ideology made evident by her enthusiastic applause in response to any bashing of Palin or McCain, and in sharp contrast to her positive loud cheering in response to any praise for Obama. When I watched her in Brown’s focus group, I thought her behavior was merely manipulative. Then she showed up on last night (Sept 9) on the Lou Dobbs “Independent Convention”. She is seated on the top left side of the audience. Her description: Middle-aged, heavy-set, Caucasian, curly and dark hair. She wore glasses the first time.
Moreover, (as you’ve pointed out, CNN’s “mixed”,
“independent”, “undecided “ focus group discussions are a farce. Only a smallest fraction consists of conservatives, republicans, or even centrist libertarians or independents. In Brown’s group, eventually everyone but only two women indicated that they were democrats or progressives, and probable Obama voters. During Dobbs’s group, whenever his professional commentators bashed Palin, most of the “mixed” “undecided” group exploded into applause. Audience members had also positioned themselves behind speakers, so that their faces were showing up nearly parallel to the commentator. These individuals engaged in making cheesy and over-acted responses to the commentary somewhat reminiscent of the level of talent found in a 5th-rate dinner theatre company. Yet, I’ll grant them this praise, these operators don’t miss an opportunity for propagandizing. CNN, however, cannot be this stupid or incompetent to fail to catch to their shenanigans. Remarkably, after Dobbs first inferred at the start of the show that the audience members of the “Independent Convention” were a discussion group, he did not allow comments. It might have something to do with the very apparent overwhelming, numerical domination by Obama supporters.
I’ve got a strong hunch this may be another code pink operator. They’ve become very aggressive at masquerading as Republicans at the gop convention or independent, undecided voters showing up at other focus groups.
Do you know anyone that could run a ID check on her?
