BTW, my experience says that a movie critic’s opinion about anything is generally more favorable if he/she can sleep during whatever it is they are critiquing (i.e. movies with lots of explosions get low ratings; movies with long, boring pastoral scenes get high ratings). Apparently Sarah Palin keeps Ebert awake. I wonder why?

So Roger “Joan Rivers” Ebert thinks that if you haven’t been an international world traveler you are not curious or fit and capable of dealing with international issues. Every hear of books Roger or that magic information box known as the computer? I guess this is just another way elitists measure their epitude. What a gutless worm.

I was horrified when I saw how much Ebert was raving over Redacted, so I guess now I shouldn’t be surprised that his judgement in regards to politics is as poor as it is when it comes to movies.

McCain picks Lieberman as VP: Destroys Republican Party
McCain picks Palin as VP: Destroys Democrat Party

Obama picks Biden: A mistake (according to Biden)
Obama picks Hillary: Better qualified and wins (maybe).

Compare the first major decisions of the two Presidential candidates. Is there any comparison as to quality of decision-making?

In his first major decision, McCain made a lot of conservative Republicans very happy. If he continues with similar decisions for cabinet, judges, commissions etc. he could be an impressive President.
