I was reading up about Ayers and his wife. Their sons are named Zayd and Malik. These are Muslim names. – Buddahpundit

The most beautiful thing in that photo is the flag, even lying on the ground the Stars & Stripes remains the most magnificent flag in the world.

In fact it’s the only beautiful thing in the photo. All the other elements are garbage.

You can’t completely discount violent resistance. Our country wouldn’t exist if not for violent resistance and acts that today would be branded as terrorism. You just have to make damn sure that you’re in a necessary fight against tyranny, not just a petty political disagreement, and that your actions aren’t more tyrannical than the tyranny they oppose.

After all, violent resistance against the government is the ultimate reason for the Second Amendment. It’s not for “hunting” or “crime prevention.” It’s a backstop against tyranny. It’s for defense of your human rights against any transgressor. So ultimately, he’s right. He just picked a cause that didn’t pass the test.

That’s exactly right. These leftists figured out long ago that if they become the government, they win. Look at our educational system, unions, even many poiticians; they are from the radical left of old. Now we’re on the verge of giving the radicals the very apex of that power…the presidency. If only people would open their eyes and see what’s really happening here before it’s too late. One can only hope.

A seven-year association through the Chicago Annenberg Challenge — not to mention numerous other points of contact/association through charities, school reform groups and discussion panels arranged by Michelle Obama — that is “a passing acquaintance?”

Lest we forget, Ayers held a party at his home in 1995 to help Obama kick off Obama’s campaign for the Illinois senate. Is that the kind of thing that one does for “a passing acquaintance”? Are Obama supporters serious about this argument? Obama and Ayers are thick as thieves.
