Gravel is certainly entitled to his ideals. I won’t call him a nut for having them. If we could have the current political spectrum without the name-calling and vitriol, then we might actually get stuff done. I think even McCain’s current ad war about lipstick and sexism is almost going too far. Let’s get back to the issues. We need to educate the public on the issues and convince them why the liberals and Gravel’s isolationism cannot compete with ours.

So, let’s get this straight, believing in LIFE is extreme? Killing babies is normal?

One thing this election campaign has done for me, is to sit me firmly in the Pro-Life ideology. I always remained somewhat aloof from that–never having faced the issue in my own life. But now? Yes, I believe in a culture of LIFE. LIFE can be hard. But it is good.

This Mike Gavel–we need more Democrats like him. A man who can stand for opposing views than mine and debate me on those issues, without the usual emotional neediness of a Liberal.

Mr. Gavel can see the value of people, opposing views or not.
