Even this continues a smear, of course. No, she doesn’t want to teach creationism in schools.

1. The Bon Jovi Triumph is clearly the best of the lot, by virtue of Triumph singing “You Give Poop A Bad Name” alone
2. The Olbermann/Matthews dig was laugh out loud funny…
3. …as was the “shot a bear” portion of the “Sarah-brate” song
4/10 on this one.
Ah hell, 3/10 since it doesn’t appear they did a comparable set of digs at the DNC, based on a quick search of both google and YouTube.

Ha. He nailed Mathews and Olby pretty good, and that was filmed BEFORE they were taken off the elcetion coverage.
Not Triumph’s best work, but pretty good. His funniest vids were the Star Wars clip and Bon Jovi clip, check ‘em out on youTube.

I like that Repubs are secure enough in who they are to laugh at the jokes…
But that Creationism thing should be shot down by the canidates. It isn’t true and could be a big turn off to Independents.

What happened to Triumph’s accent? The camera work almost outed Robert Smigel several times.
You can tell who was familiar with Triumph’s shtick, like the very wary Mr. Cooper, and who wasn’t.

Here’s the thing for me. The Republicans took it all as what it was humor even the gay or indicted comment. Try that with Democrats. Liberals have no humor.
New Orleans is a perpetual runner-up in the Party Convention sweepstakes. The locals prefer the GOP because they come into town, nominate a candidate, and hold a party. With the Democrats, the search committee demands to know stuff about which hotels are unionized and the racial make-up of the local city council. In short, the DNC convention is like a church pot luck where the facade of being serious is most important (if Democrats/liberals actually believed in God) while the RNC is like a New Year’s Eve party where the facade of having a good time is applied to serious political strategy.

By no means was this one of Triumph’s funniest routines. It had a few moments but mostly it was a dud.
Triumph’s phone call to a Chinese restaurant looking for his brother was really funny and of course the “Star Wars” convention footage is hysterical.

The Star Wars thing had me crying I was laughing so hard. Maybe because I know nerds like that, (and like most of them) being a big fan myself. Yeah, I’m blushing, but it’s true.
The Cooper stuff was really good, but I didn’t get much of a laugh otherwise. Maybe I need to lighten up, but the racist/creationist stuff is a lie and the audience that this was made for actually believes it. There’s a difference in laughing with me and laughing at me. I felt this was the latter. Kills the joke for me.
I have to give the guy credit for having some ba**s though, I thought Swann might punch him, but like most conservatives, Swann obviously doesn’t get belligerent.
But Cooper was funny!
