Add Grand Rapids (2nd largest city in Michigan) and Holland to the list.

I didn’t say it was a lock, it isn’t. I said don’t be to sure about Michigan going Dihm. Neither is a done deal.

For all that has gone wrong in Michigan, Obama should be much farther ahead, but he isn’t.

Hang in there, Tru, and don’t go wobbly. I suggest that you buckle up, however, ’cause this is gonna be a bumpy ride.

The trends are clear. McCain/Palin is picking up new votes while The big O is losing votes and momentum. This is not just wishful thinking it’s trackable from the pollsters most of whom are in the tank for the Dhimmicrats.

I went on Real Clear Politics to their current map – and that made me feel worse.

Guess I need to just keep the eye on the prize and take the polls and speculations as just what they are: polls and speculations.

Surely the O/B ticket will choke (some more) in the next 60 days.

What no one seems to be talking about is the tremendous help Palin has given the McCain ticket by locking down the former red states. The campaign can now focus on the remaining purple states, concentrate their effort. Huge savings in money, time and effort.

Also, think of Reagan v Mondale in 1984. This election just might be a blowout of that proportion for McCain and Palin. I agree with John the Libertarian on this point.

Sarah will be asked about abortion rights. She NEEDS to defer to states’ rights. She definately bring up the infanticide stand of BO. Most pro-babykilling agree that late term aborts are not acceptable.

Refer to the 2004 electoral map and consider that all of the red states will go to McCain/Palin. The purple states are in play and among these are Ohio and Pennsyvania. Odds are that one of these will swing to McCain.

Got a few other things going on in Michigan.

GM has announced record profits in all its major overseas production programs…Korea, Brazil, China…fuel efficient, multi-fuel and hybrid, nicely designed and looking cars…yet Stateside…GM is bleeding, bad.

So are a lot of other Michigan businesses.

What’s now holding them up?

All that Dem talk about increasing taxes on nasty old big business, no end in sight to Michigan’s Democrat-installed enviro laws and regulations, Michigan is not a business friendly state anymore.

Energy? Drill here, drill now resounds from the UP and all across the rest of Michigan.

Governor Granholm’s wonderful idea last year…welcoming illegal aliens and urging them to come to Michigan.

They are still here. Were supposed to help out the farmers. Now taking jobs away from everyone, in all sorts of trades and services. They are non-union, will work below scale, won’t ask for health insurance or a 401k plan and stuff…huge increase in illegals in Michigan over the past year.

And thst Primary thing…still resounds across the state. “Hillary shudda had it!” Have heard that a lot in the past couple weeks.

Michigan is in no way a lock for the Dems.

Besides, the Rube Belt, all of Michigan except Detroit-Flint-Lansing-Ann Arbor and Traverse City….they love Palin. She is one of them. They know it. Palin knows it. McCain knows it.

The Dems can’t figure it out.
