“What horrified me was not so much the woman herself, though she is clearly entirely unfit to be vice-president or president. It was McCain’s cynical and sudden choice of her. Would you give power of attorney over your entire life to someone you had only met once, or possibly twice? Of course not. You would give the matter and the person very serious consideration. Yet McCain in effect is offering power of attorney over all the affairs of the United States and over all Americans, including me, to a woman he had barely met. I myself wouldn’t hire a house-sitter on such scant acquaintance…
I had thought that McCain was, for a politician, an honourable man. Certainly honour is one of his top selling points. But who can think so now? In choosing a woman he doesn’t know or understand, purely for electoral advantage, he reveals a dishonourable lust for office, a disrespect for women generally and a dishonourable indifference to the future of his country…
In short Palin is an ill-educated, inexperienced hypocrite.”

Minnie Mouse, a fiction writer contributes her rodent tripe to television and radio shows in Britain and Asia. Her current project, The Pied Piper Oboomerang, is eschewed by the discerning public who wouldn’t trust Ms. Mouse into their homes, as she carries the plague.

What this silly bimbo doesn’t realize is that people who support McCain/Palin are specifically supporting a ticket that hopefully will have LESS influence over our private lives.
She’s just miffed because Oblahblah is being rejected by those who do not want him to have power over their lives.

Jaibones on September 7, 2008 at 11:19 PM
It almost sounds convincing, until you consider that it’s not just about what one person — the presidential candidate — wants for himself, but what a party wants for the whole country. The assumptions of the press notwithstanding, the fact is that Palin has been the talk of segments of the Republican party, conservative circles, and the blogosphere, for most of the summer. Just one name on a long list of maybes. McCain may have only met her once or twice, but you can bet she’s been on the phone with a McCain staffer since June.
As everyone who attended CPAC in February knows, McCain has had some explaining to do to the conservative base of his party. It’s been an uphill battle for him to get their respect. Palin is a governor of a big state. Not exactly off the beaten path. She wouldn’t be the first candidate for high office to be plucked from obscurity. In this case, I’m not convinced she was ever that obscure.
Besides, I think the Brits are still sore they lost their colonies.

I can’t tell if Marrin is highly educated or just high on her own self rightousness via intellegensa. I don’t know who reads this broad but her writting style is waaay to meandering. Her writting Proffessor would probably hit her over the knuckles with a ruller just to get her back on track. I mean she takes every possible position of an argument and then some. She plays both sides against the middle, its an every which way but loose kind of style. Anyone who takes this woman as credible has been up where the air is thin much to long.

Michelle can’t pass the bar exam, what does that make her…the highest paid paralegal in the U.S. There is no record that I can find that Barack passed any bar exam.
To be officially an attorney, you have to pass a bar exam. Otherwise you are like many others, someone that has a law degree.
If you were truly a legitimate president of Harvard Law Review, passing the bar in any state should be a piece of cake.
My kids were average law students and they passed the Calif. bar, and then two other states bar exams.
I don’t think the NY, IL (or any other state) bar exam is as difficult as the CA exam.
So he has a law degree, and Palin has a journalism degree…they both have degrees.

Sheesh what a pompous pompadour. This illustrates why we should end dual citizenship
Reminds me of a wonderful Martha Stewart episode a few years ago. Elderly Julia Child was guest as Martha showed her ever so many clever things. At one point Martha bragged about doing something at the White House and Julia, who had been a quiet and respectful guest, gave Martha a look and remarked in her droll way “Well aren’t we special”.
As I read this pouf piece I was thinking “Well aren’t we special”
or in my lingo:
Who died and made you Queen?

I almost feel sorry for him, and were he an uncloseted marxist I would. Barry’s problem is everyone decided who he was before he ever had to prove who he was. Now he is at least in part being harmed by the subtle racism of democrat low expectations.
That is why George Snuffalupagis stepped on his gaffe and highlighted it.
1) Snuffy knew hed screw up
2) Snuffy knew he’d further screw up a self-clarification
the only problem is it made Barry look worse.
If the lead is legit that McCain just opened Barry is going to start flailing wildly….he’ll get worse off. Barry has never had to close strong before “chicago style” has knocked his legit opponents out every time.

Too bad any sense of honor or decency has escaped Ms. Marrin.
Her extreme elitism is right up there with David Brooks on Stephanopolis today saying Gov. Palin is trailer trash.
People perched on ivory towers must have more votes they can cast as they so choose and the rest of us less holier than thous should appreciate the privilege of breathing the same air they do.
Hope and change is apparently wonderful just so long as a fellow elitist brings it along properly with the proper credentials.

Before we tromp to harshly on journalist from other countries, read some of the overseas papers. There are more of them that are in favor of McCain/Palin ticket. They are suffering through the same left wing crap we are. They are becoming tired of social hand outs, and if you read through the lines, taxation without true representation. They are also tired of political correctness, global warming, their governments showing more concern for immigrants (legal and illegal) than their own citizenry. Some have even indicated that if the M/P ticket wins and is true to their word, that it might lead to a movement that would spread world wide. Now, wouldn’t that be a revelation. One gentleman from Africa was in hopes that they would lose, so that they could offer Palin what ever she wants to come to Africa and clean up their government. If you scan through Pravda, even they are concerned by the M/P ticket.
There are a lot of folks in the world that are inspired by our Sarah Palin, and pulling for her in hopes that this will be a message to the world. Here’s hoping we don’t let them down, and that the Elitist have had their day.
