I think when the media Palinjihad started, Obama figured he would do what Bill Clinton did – sit back and let his friends in the media do the dirty work.

Unfortunately, the press just isn’t as good at political smearing as they used to be, or perhaps the American public does not buy it wholesale anymore. I don’t think I ever seen so much mud slung at one person to so little effect.

So now Obama has to figure out how to stop his goons in the press from going so far overboard without making it to obvious that is what he is doing.
